Holsworthy Community Group

Holsworthy Community Group is a Community House established to support our Defence Community through events, programs and courses. We encourage our greater civilian community to be involved too!

Holsworthy Family Group is a Community House established to support Defence Families posted to the Sydney / Liverpool Area. We are able to offer Defence families a variety of activities and programs due to the hard work of our Committee and Centre Coordinator.

The Centres aims and objectives are:

•To provide Defence families a safe and secure environment which allows them to build relationships with other Defence Families whilst creating a sense of community

•To provide support to Defence families whilst the member is away, often for long periods.

•To provide information and resources to Defence families when first posting into Sydney

•To work closely with other Defence and non Defence Community Organisations including DCO, DFA, the DSTA’s and local councils to provide support and information to Defence families.

•To provide a broad range of activities, events and programs to match the needs of ALL Defence families, this include Lateral Families, Families with young /school age /teenage children, Families with no children, Families with both parents serving and MWDU families.
