Holsworthy Long Day And Occasional Care Centre Description

Holsworthy Long Day and Occasional Care Centre was established as a community based centre that has been providing quality care for both civilian and Defence Force families since 1980.
It originally was established by Mrs Brigadier Marlene Jeffreys who set the Occasional Care Centre for the wives of soldiers as both a support centre for them and an early childhood educational centre for their children.

Being situated on defence Force land, throughout the years Holsworthy maintained close ties with the Defence forces while at the same time opening the doors to the civilian population in line with Defence Forces Policy and Department of Community Services Policy.

Our reputation as a high quality, early childhood education centre has spread throughout the area so that we have families travelling from all over the district to attend our centre.

Holsworthy Long Day and Occasional Care Centre officially opened on 12th December 1994 on the site of 2 Lighthorse Parade at Holsworthy. The centre became Holsworthy Long Day and Occassional Care Centre in 2006. This was to cater for the needs of the families in surrounding and further community.
