"Home Comfort ~ Soul Food " is a local family run business. We provide the local Byron Shire and beyond with pure vegetarian hand made samosas. At Home Comfort Soul Food we provide for a mainly sattvic diet, offering goodness with convenience and affordability, whether at markets or by local delivery for your home freezer.

We only ever produce food that is purely vegetarian, and also we who cook and prepare your food, are also pure vegetarians. We believe that the consciousness of the grower and the cook all goes into the food and also the handlers. That consciousness is also ingested, so with all this in mind; we not only cook in physically clean spaces for health regulations, but also in emotionally and mentally purified ways for spiritual regulations.
As for the karma we ingest, this is why we offer this fine range of tasty vegetarian products to you.

So our name is reflecting what we offer, "Home Comfort" convenient, healthy, reliable and nourishing food. . . and it’s “Soul Food” you can TASTE that difference and feel it afterwards.

Our intention is to regularly supply local families within the Byron Shire with an affordable range of delicious and nutritious - healthy gourmet vegetarian foods, and thereby support our own material and spiritual families.
To consistently make tasty handy treats that are just so yummy, good and nutritious, that you'll have to tell your friends (so that they can put some in their freezer when you next run out or come over).

All our products are skillfully made by hand with our time-honoured methods - with expert care for your authentic tasting satisfaction.

We have 3 varieties of samosas

Holy Samosa! (vegan)
A traditional Indian-style spiced samosa, made and sold for many years at markets and shops throughout the Shire.
Mild to hot in spicy talk, though kids adore them despite the chilli; we recommend fresh natural yoghurt to cool and our very own tasty tomato chutney to heat. Encased in delicious crunchy crust
Filling - Potato, sweet potato, sweet peas, ginger, spices.
Pastry - flour, veg oil, salt, water

The Golden Pocket:
A succulent and nourishing spinach and potato samosa embedded with chunks of ghee fried paneer, cooked with earthy fragrant spices,
all encased in an amazing pastry

Filling - Potato, sweet potato, spinach /silverbeet, paneer fried in ghee, spices
Pastry - flour, tumeric, butter, salt, water

Hearty Delight: (vegan)
Puy lentils and fresh red capsicum in a “heart-warming” gingery, paprika and black pepper spice blend, folded through a base of potato and sweet potato. Tasty vegan crust embedded with poppy seeds and paprika.

Filling - Potato, sweet potato, capsicum, du puy lentils, tomato, spices
Pastry - flour, veg oil, poppy seeds, paprika, salt water
