Some years ago, I was looking for a new dentist in my area and chanced upon the website of Hornsby Dental. I liked the fact that there were photos and information about the dentists and I decided to go with Dr Mark Nieh.
I had exacting standards as my father was a dentist and Mark has never let me down. He is a warm, friendly person. Calm and meticulous when working, he tells you what he's doing and why and stops to let you swallow, breathe, rest or whenever you need to. He gives me a bite block when my jaw hurts from keeping my mouth open and sedation was available when I was in for root canal treatment. I can honestly say that I have never felt any pain whilst having treatment (even the 'heavy stuff!) and have always been very, very happy with the outcomes of all my treatments.
I have complete and utter faith in Mark and his whole team. So much so, that I now travel up from Tasmania to see him. My daughters both still travel to see Mark - one, living in London factors in appointments whenever she's over in Australia.
I have, and would recommend Mark and Hornsby Dental 100% to anyone looking for a caring, talented dentist, where excellence does not cost the earth.

Had 8 veenes with Dr Philip Song and I'm overly happy! Dr Song was so good with me considering I get extreme anxiety with the dentist! he listened to me and talked me through every step of the way and listened to exactly what I wanted especially when I was freaking out about the whole process! In the end we got there and I couldn't be more happier with the end result! I would highly recommend anyone to go see him! After doing a lot of research he did everything they say a good dentist would do! Thank you to the staff at Hornsby dentist for listening to me and reassuring me every step of the way!!! :)

I had a crown done in June and have been in pain since. The dentist has been keeping an eye on it-- but, it has got worse. I went to another dentist and I was told I need a root canal and a new crown. I definitely will not go back and don't recommend them. Cheap treatment but, now I have to pay so much more. Not happy...

Most of us wouldn't regard going to the dentist as a pleasure, yet Dr Mark Nieh and his team are the most exceptional dental professionals I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

To say my situation was complicated would be an understatement... (13 implants performed overseas - the most vital of which, on my front upper incisors, failed in 2014. This left me with six front teeth missing.)

That's when I had the good fortune of discovering Mark and his practice. I had consulted widely with other dentists, who either balked at attempting a fix, or quoted me many thousands of dollars for a "false teeth" solution.

I could not afford the cost of false teeth quoted to me by other dentists - or the time off work waiting for them to be made.

In desperation I started ringing around - and thank goodness I called Hornsby Dental. Having explained my situation to Mark, he responded like no other dentist. "We'll squeeze you in today, and see what we can do to help you out."

Mark's solution was an innovative and slightly unorthodox approach to my very unusual case - intended to get me by for a few months. His fee for the initial extensive work was far less than what others had quoted for false teeth - and since then Mark's "temporary" solution proved to be incredibly resilient.

If I had listened to other dentists I would now have false teeth. Instead I have a fantastic prosthetic bridge which looks better than my original teeth ever did!

This dentist is exceptionally talented - and his empathy and willingness to help despite my complications and financial constraints is something for which I'm eternally grateful. I will never go to another dentist again.

The standards of hygiene and professionalism at this practice are exemplary, and Mark and his staff create a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Combined with the reassurance of knowing you're in the very best hands, it makes visiting almost pleasurable!

Can't recommend this practice highly enough... Whether you're in need of a complex prosthetic solution, or just general dental work - look no further.
