i have 3 ships from this school... *face palm, face palm, face palm* But everyone i know from this school is nice and talkative but sometimes they're just really noisy on the bus...

Hornsby Girls is a great school that teaches a wide range of subjects in fun and creative ways. The uniforms are comfortable, the teachers are helpful and the administrative staff are very nice.

Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease a 6.5cm-deep, 20cm (base) round cake pan. Line with baking paper. Using an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and coconut essence until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 2
Sift half the flour and half the cocoa over butter mixture. Add half the coconut. Stir to combine. Add half the milk. Stir to combine. Repeat with remaining flour, cocoa, coconut and milk. Spoon into prepared pan. Smooth top. Bake for 55 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Stand in pan for 10 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
Step 3
Make Chocolate buttercream: Place butter and chocolate in a glass or ceramic bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature. Beat mixture with a wooden spoon until thick and spreadable.
Step 4
Using a serrated knife, cut cake in half crossways. Place bottom of cake on a plate. Spread with one-third of buttercream. Sandwich with cake top. Spread remaining buttercream over top and side of cake. Serve with cream.

Hornsby Girls is a great school with a great friendly environment. Everyone is friendly and the community is great! The teachers and staff are helpful and nice. There are plenty of extra-curricular programs and an excellent academic program. Overall a great selective school.

I LOVE THIS SCHOOL YAY GREAT ICE CREAMS, THE SCHOOL IS JUST LIKE HOGWARTS!!! HONESTLY IF YOU WANNA GO TO SELECTIVE, GO TO HORNSBY BECAUSE THEY TOTALLY DONT GIVE AN OVERLOAD OF HOMEWORK! EVERYTHING IN THIS SCHOOL IS GREAT! WE ARE SMART COOKIES!

This school is terrible.
The staff are unsupportive.
The work is tedious and not challenging.
The way the school is run is atrocious.
Don't make my mistake. If you want to go to a GOOD selective, Hornsby is the wrong choice. It's not for everyone, that's for sure.

Great school

I went to this school many years ago. It is not a private school, it is a selective public school. And a good one at that. If your daughter gets into the school, she will get a good education in a challenging environment.
