We have been very impressed by the service and kindness shown whilst buying my new car. Wolfgang is a good listener and has been supportive of and responsive to our wishes. He was very polite and did his best to ensure a good deal for us on our trade in.

Bought a new Mazda CX-5 and was very happy with the help we got in choosing the right model. We were offered a good deal and would recommend coming here when looking at a new Mazda.

Went in earlier this morning. Spoke to the potential salesperson named Cameron. The service was poor as the salesperson actually judges you by the offer you make, simply tells you cant afford to buy something at their place or not. Then I even asked for test drive to make sure the car is worthy for the price he asked, he then goes its worthy for a drive yeah definitely he said i can go for a test drive then he again mentioned the price saying “but ..... is the price (smiling). Asked for few minutes to that sales man so that I can discuss about it with my wife, while I was having a chat with my wife, he comes out shouting "OH PROBLEM SOLVED!!, we just sold that to one of our customers who bought it online", well co-incidently it was the same car and model the other customer bought. Taps on my back and says "Good-Luck"

How rude

I went to Madza Hornsby this weekend hoping to purchase a vehicle. When I arrived I heard the potential salesman being rude to a couple looking to buying an ex demo car. They were trying to work out where to go and he was being dismissive – maybe this was the sign that the process was not going to be very fruitful.

I then started to look at the cars I was interested in, the salesman Dave came over to let me know there was another two cars that had not made it onto the main forecourt that maybe of interest.

I decided to narrow the pool of cars I was interested in down to two. I approached Dave for a potential test drive, to which he responded ‘ how serious are you about buying?’, my response was ‘well I don’t know if I’ll buy it without a test drive.’ Although I was taken aback by his response I decided to ask again – ‘ will it be possible to take it for a test drive?’ again his response was ‘are you ready to buy now?’. I did get frustrated and decided to leave due to the poor service.

I’m buying a second hand car, it would be irresponsible of me to not test drive a car I was interested in purchasing. I decided that I wouldn’t bother parting with money with a company that wouldn’t let you test drive.

The ironic thing is that I bought at a different dealer before the end of the day. Please treat your customers with respect. I was not asking anything out of the ordinary; it was Dave who decided to turn a sale into a farce. I will not be recommending you to any friends or family as it is a waste of time.

Daniella takes a long to get the keys if you want to test drive. Not sure if she's using the wait time to screen serious buyers. Only when I walked inside the showroom, did she came towards me. The manager Nick is nice.

Bought a CX9, during turnover they mentioned that the build date that the salesman and I agreed upon cant be honoured because there was an "error" on the system. So yeah they gave me a car on an earlier built and saying that build date was never part of the contract. Nice...

First month servicing comes, brought the car to them only for it returned a few hours later with a scratch on the door. Suprisingly, when I complained about it, they never hesitated to fix the damage, giving me the impression that they knew about the ordeal and just hope that I wont notice it.

What to expect for the next 3 years of servicing?

Btw, CX9 is a great car so I'm giving this review another star for it.

Salesman was great, packaged my car quite nicely, but the service department were just focused on getting me back to make money. Car was new & still needed a service every 6 months. Service costs kept on increasing too.

From the moment we walked into Mazda we were treated with respect
Our questions were answered with truth and humour. Mazda is a new experience for us as our previous workhorses have been Fords so we had plenty of questions
We walked out tonight having clinched a deal which Derek feels meets his requirements. Well done guys and girls. P S I will be sticking with my Holden SS for awhile !!! Brenda

I had the pleasure to buy my first car through Rod Newbrun. From start to finish he was very responsive to any of my questions and concerns. His professionalism, knowledge, honesty, and hard work ethic are much respected and appreciated. I would recommend him to anyone.
Thank you Rod!

Bought my Mazda CX5 GT yesterday and I left this place with my Car and most most importantly the best feeling of my lifetime and the feeling that I will never have to regret. The most wonderful experience of buying a car especially when you go there after receiving a truly bitter experience from one of the other Mazda Dealer. Frank is one amazing sales consultant with very personal service and good knowledge of the product. He know how to convince people to buy a car rather than force them or push them which I felt with other dealers. Financing the car was made super easy with exceptional help from Zia from finance department, he made me feel good about doing business with hornsby Mazda. Jess from delivery is one more reason to thank Hornsby Mazda for their service and deliver of the car within the promised date.
5 out of 5 is an understatement for this place.
Looking forward to do more business with you guys.
Thank you so much..

10/10 every time. This is my second Mazda purchased from Hornsby Mazda, I purchased a Mazda 3 from Jayson Jimenez. I'm very happy with the price and with the customer service. The service costs are cheap and more importantly they will service your car correctly! If you're a young person like myself and looking for a new car, go to Hornsby Mazda.

Hornsby Mazda provide great service. We have taken our old Ford Laser there for many many years, the car is now over 20 years old and still going well. The people at Hornsby Mazda are friendly and helpful. The car still runs better than most 5 year old cars. When the time comes our first choice for our next vehicle will be from Hornsby Mazda.

Just experienced a very odd and unpleasant experience at Hornsby Mazda.

Went in my husband on a Saturday afternoon interested in test driving one of the 2nd hand vehicles for sale (after doing extensive research online). Our previous visit to this dealership a few weeks earlier was a great experience and we received a lot of useful and helpful information from the dealer we spoke with originally, which led us to return today to test drive after narrowing down our choice of make and model (as was recommend to us).

Upon entering the showroom and explaining to the dealer who approached us that we were interested in one of the cars parked outside, the first question asked was "Are you intending on purchasing this vehicle today?" A bit of a hard sell to start off with, considering I was yet to test drive the car.

I explained I wanted to test drive if possible to get a feel for the car before making a final decision. I also explained I had previously researched this car and according to various reviews it seemed to suit our needs.

His response was that he didn't want to add any extra kilometres to the car so the person who actually 'wants' to purchase it maintains a lower mileage. His rude and abrupt manner was starting to make both my husband and I feel uncomfortable.

He then proceeded to offer to allow us a test drive (after saying they don't usually let people drive cars for the fun of it?) but around the block only.

The way I see it, if someone is intending to spend a considerable amount of money, you would expect to have the opportunity to drive the vehicle more than just 'around the block.' We certainly weren't expecting to drive the car for an extended period of time, but long enough to determine if this was the car for us.

We had been to another dealer a short distance away for another test drive earlier in the day and the standard of customer service was much higher. We were given the opportunity to drive the vehicle for as long as we wanted, encouraged to drive local roads and up the highway to see how it handled at speed and when the vehicle was returned there was no 'hard sale' or pressure to sign on the dotted line. We were both pleasantly surprised!

It is interesting to read other reviews about Hornsby Mazda and see a fair majority of people have experienced the same poor customer service as my husband and I did today- sadly it appears we were not alone.

This experience has left a sour taste and we mostly certainly won't be parting with any money here. Would rather take our business elsewhere to a dealership which does not patronise its potential customers- instead treats them with respect and does not pressure them for a purchase the moment they walk through the doors.
