Very friendly staff. Great value for lunch. Really nice atmosphere.

Accommodation is affordable, basic, but not bad... if you're okay with shared bathrooms. Good bistro & menu too

This is a good local pub with a decent selection of beers and good food (for pub food). As a matter of fact, the food has gotten considerably better over the last year or 2. Plenty of room. Plenty of seating. Good bar staff (except for one cranky mole).

No heater in our hotel room, no aircon for the summer, a cold walk to toilets and showers, You require He-man to open wooden 1920s elevator.

But on the other hand, the staff were fantastic, the food is a good portion (not excessive or wasteful) and very delicious, hotel room found super clean and had an electric blanket. So it was comfy.

It would be a 5 star if it wasn't for the heating or cooling options of the room.

Very poor 😂... Kidding the bar staff are very excellent kind to customer's... Usually. Same with the bistro. The condition of the place is still stuck in the 70's/80's era and needs newer furniture and carpets. The odors/sents are too over powering. Customer service is 100% You lost the last 2 stars on the way the hotel looks and smells also beer price's need to drop to compete with "Pulse" more.

My friend and me stayed in the Hotel for one night and it was the worst thing ever. There were BED BUGS in our room!! The reception was unattended in the evening and in the morning so we couldn't get another room or help from anyone. We didn't get any sleep and had to wash and freeze all our stuff and clothes the next day.
We called the manager and he first said that they didn't find any nocturnal! bed bugs in the morning. Next he said that we must have brought them from another hotel ( definitely not, because we came from home and there are definitely no bedbugs). And last he said that he saw the five bedbugs we killed and gave to a cleaner as proof and that that must have been all of them and that there can't be anymore bedbugs in our room now. He didn't offer a refund or anything like that, he didn't even apologise in any way and just kept denying everything said and had proof of. It was the worst night ever. DO NOT STAY unless you want to torture yourself and be eaten up by bedbugs, cause this place is full of them.

It was a beautiful, sunny midday Monday. I had an itch for a well deserved pub lunch. Though it was early and the bistro hadn't opened for the day, I found myself passing the time on the brickies laptop.
When the kitchen opened, I purchased what I had thought to be a chicken schnitzel with mash.
WELL, that was not the case.
If you asked me what was a greater crime against humanity; the Holocaust or this 'meal', I would have a hard time deciding.
Let me rattle off a few things i would prefer spending my time and/or money on:
-printing off as many copies of Nicholas Cages face office works would allow me to.
-spending a night as a 13 year old boy in Rolf Harris' cell.
-walking the streets of Somalia nude.
-playing in traffic.
-watching re runs of Rugrats All Grown Up
-playing runescape in a call centre on dial up dodo.
-sharing a needle with the local dragon chasers in a dark ally.
Honestly, I would rather be told i have aids then be given another serving of this.
Appalling.

Instead of receiving a delicious serving of schnitzel with mash and gravy, I was given something words cannot describe. The chef of the day had to either be mentally unstable or dragged out of the local Ikea bistro. If we were living the days of Jesus Christ, this person would deserve nothing short of a good stoning.
I would have preferred spending the $26 on bird feed for myself than to punish my stomach with that monstrosity. A good, thorough stomach pump is in order.
I will be sending the bill, for the rebuild of the plumbing system in my house, to the owners of this 'establishment', I just hope the damage will be repairable.
I do recommend the gravy.

Next time i order from here ill request the scrapings from the original pan of 1926. I feel ill be getting stomach cancer soon, the chicken burger was more carcinogenic than a plate of asbestos. The chips were marginally better, although undercooked. The best part of my meal was the barbeque sauce.
