Reviews
Tickets are a bit pricey but you get pretty nice electronic reclining seats for it. Taking a lot of points off because there is no parking validation. So maximum of 3hours of free parking which makes it impossible to watch longer movies within that time frame.
Easy free parking and comfortable lounge style sitting. Remember to validate your parking ticket
Watched blade runner.Great movie. The recliners are very comfortable I wouldn't go to a theatre that doesn't have them now.
This is my favorite cinema to go to in Sydney. Every theater has reclining seats and the theaters are usually pretty large. Using the Hoyt's app with rewards makes a trip here really easy (scan your ticket from the phone). Snacks are a bit expensive but seem to be inline with what you would see at other cinemas.
Just experienced the Lux service and boy-oh-boy did Lux deliver. The staff were beyond helpful, happy and knowledgeable and the endless popcorn and soft drink were great value for the $25 it cost us. Highly recommend going to Lux!
Excellent cinema but was very confused with the seating. It's not very clear what rows are aligned with the different letters. Many people also seemed comfortable to confused. Loved the seats and will keep coming back.
Quite honestly one of the most enjoyable cinema experiences I have likely ever had. Comfortable chairs, large screens, fairly priced snacks. I would recommend highly.
Yes the reclining chairs are nice but I rarely get to sit in them. The selection of films is very poor. When the latest major release comes out they spread it across multiple screens. Sometimes when I go there they're only showing 2 or 3 different movies, it's crazy.
They run the big blockbusters almost exclusively; bloated, gimmicky, childish, superhero CGI movies. Or whatever Fast & Furious they're up to. Films I'm not interested in.
I understand they need to pay for those chairs, unfortunately it has come at the customer's expense.
That's my only complaint, but it's a huge problem. The staff, the cleanliness, everything else about this Hoyts is great.
love the reclining seats. a better cinema.
Recliner seating throughout. Can't go wrong
Recliner chairs are winning. So much more comfortable. Cinemas are clean
This is my second review, it's not going to be detailed. I am watching movies at Hoyts more than usual because of the recliner seats, so comfy. Hopefully no price changes. I might not go as often if the movie ticket price will go up.
This is my favourite Cinema of all time how ever a few improvements would make it slay,
like an elevator for wheelchair and Walker access and assertive staff to usher the ladies night hags off the disabled ramp in the foyer.
Staff might be guilty of being too nice.
We shouldn't have to yell at them with help from the few switched on ladies attending those events, just so disabled customers can make the movie in time. Staff should be assertive instead.
My disabled mum was in tears and wanted to just go home before she got in the Cinema.
She was also exhausted due to taking the Woolworths ramp, there's no other way in at night for disabled public transport customers.
Also, it's stuffy AF during the films now, be sure to ask them to adjust the ac to 23° at the counter so you don't sweat all over the seats like I do.
That's the only issues I have and bloody love everything else about this Hoyts, the staff are lovely.
It's not bad. Seats are less comfy than Blacktown and Penrith as well as the air conditioning (lot more muggy there)
(edit): Ever since the renovations the seats are amazing. Like sitting in gold class.
Comfy leather recliner seats but small screens. No complaints, but nothing special
Ok, so the new seats are a winner but you pay for them in both tickets prices and sweets from shop. Had I been dishonest we could have seen our movie for free because no one was checking, and they were still cleaning the cinema when it was starting time. So if the seating is a priority then yayyyy.......if it is value for money then prehaps Mt Druitt need to be avoided.
Sorry. but i do love hoyts. Major problem with the sound system today. 11/8/17
Love it at this cinema. They have recliner chairs and it's hardly ever busy, toilets are close when you wanna make a quick exit and the parking is convenient because you can park right outside the movies and they don't have the tickets for only 3 hours. Love it.
Never will I come back to this Hoyt's
No express lane, hardly any food to choose from and staff have no idea. They need to make some major changes in this place especially if they are advertising the bloody chairs !!
Could do with another round of movies right now. They are good.
Movie sing was great food was overpriced paid more for popcorn and drink than movie
Never busy way better seating then any other movie theater
Good for a smaller cinema. Not normally very busy, but is fairly expensive.
