Aspiring entrepreneurs have received a leg-up with the launching of a new program aimed at encouraging self-employment among young people.

The Entrepreneurship Facilitators initiative will provide young Hunter residents with practical assistance and support in developing their ideas into a business.

Local business identity Cheryl Royle has been appointed by the Australian Government to the role which is about connecting young people (especially people aged 18-24 who are not in education, employment or training) with existing programs and services as well as one on one support to overcome barriers preventing them from starting their own business.

The program will help build a community of young entrepreneurs, and providing opportunities for education, coaching, mentoring and increasing connections in the Hunter region.

Our services are completely free and include:

Help finding and developing small business ideas.
Business skills development and training.
One-on-one advice sessions and workshops.
Mentoring and networking support.
Ongoing advice and support for your growing business.
