Urgent - due to a national NAB outage we are currently without EFTPOS until further notice - for those coming to today’s public session or the Northstars game this afternoon there is a strong possibility it will be cash sales only at the ticket booth and the cafe.

We are open for public skating today between 11am and 3.30pm, and between 6pm and 9pm tonight.

Friday nights just got even more awesome with all your favourite music videos on our brand new big screens centre ice! Friday night skate - 7:30 to 10:30pm

Jumbotron install continues! Oh hi Kailani :)

A big day was had by all involved in the installation of our brand new Jumbotron! There is still work to do but the hard yards have been done - it is now in place and we look forward to taking the wraps off it in coming days. We need to reinstall our speakers and some protective screens, and pair it with our existing AV systems.
We are now the first ice rink in Australia to have giant screens over centre ice!
A big thanks to our amazing friends Mat and Col and all the crew ...at New Hunter Industrial for the structural framework, Gavin at GJT Electrical for the cabling, plus a huge thank you to our own Greg, Joey and Garry for the hard work over the past few months in getting this technically challenging project up and running in-house, and to Luke and Michael for their efforts today.
We have captured some amazing time lapse footage of the install which will be available in coming days.

Thanks ABC Newcastle for hanging out with us at our Kailani viewing party today 🎉

See Newcastle’s Kailani Craine in the free skate today from 12 midday our time. Kailani will skate 9th so we’re expecting her to take the ice some time between 1 and 2pm. Kailani told Ch7 yesterday she’s aiming for a top 10 finish - if she can do so she’ll become Australia’s most successful athlete in this event.
Whatever happens, Kailani you are a superstar!

How amazing was Kailani’s performance! Stay tuned for details of the approximate time that she’ll be skating on Friday. Did we mention that she started skating at age 8 after attending a birthday party at our awesome facility? #livingthedream
