beautiful little zoo. Has some great picnic undercover areas. Tigers, camels & merkats are the best enclosures.
You can feed and pat the kangaroos and the farm animals - sheep, goat etc. Would be good if there was some more animals even if it was cheap animals like horses, cows pigs etc

Well maintained very clean, animals look well cared for, the staff there were excellent and very friendly, you were able to see all the animals there not like tronga zoo in Sydney where you can't always see them. Had enclosures where you can interact with the animals, very well done to hunter valley zoo.... if I could rate this more then 5 I would give this place 11 out of 10

Being a small zoo did not know what to expect. What a pleasant surprise. My grandsons ran from one enclosure to the next then we did them all again at a more leisurely pace. A very clean, well laid out zoo. A surprising selection with friendly staff and hourly lectures on the different species throughout the day. The number of animals the kids had access,to feed and pat, was much appreciated by the grand kids. Good amenities and picnic tables for picnics and/or birthday parties. Definitely worth a visit if passing through this area.

Great family fun. Heaps of different animals to keep the kids entertained. Pretty cheap entry fee. I absolutely loved it and will definitely take my children back for many more visits

Friendliest animals I have ever met at a zoo - inquisitive and happy interacting w humans. Large diversity of animals and bird species. Hairy-nosed wombats came to the fence and let me pat them (also tried to play bite my knee - teeth like a hare!) Exceeded all expectations. Only warning might be to keep little kids from feeding the camels and herd animals (goats/deer/sheep) in the feeding enclosure which were surprisingly aggressive in seeking out food.

5/5 The kids love it. So do the adults. Great selection of animals, great guides and you can take your own food for a BBQ. We have been three times and will keep going back.

Clean and pleasant with friendly, helpful staff. Feeding the lorikeets great fun and the hungry farm yard animals will each you clothes if you're not careful!
Bags of food $2 or 3 for $5.... get at least the 3...

Was surprised to learn that there even was a zoo in the valley! A very nice small zoo. Informative and regular talks and feedings. Lots of different types of animals. Family friendly.
