Huntlee

When moving to the lower Hunter, we searched for a block to build on. We looked at a number of developments. Most were ad hoc and didn't really do it for us. When we came across Huntlee and once we understood the long term vision for the development, as a complete new town with all the infrastructure that goes with it, we were sold. Key strong points:

*A master planned development with a clear vision of where the development was heading.
*Easy access to a major transport corridor (The Hunter expressway and the easily accessed train line to Newcastle)
*Potential for capital growth as the development matures and the population increases.
*The proximity of the future town centre with all the facilities we will need without having to leave the area.

What also impressed us was the standard of homes going in there. There are a variety of sizes of blocks. We ended up choosing a 950 m2 one but even on the smaller blocks, the clever design of having garages at the rear is better than the alternative on other developments and there is an air of overall quality with design guidelines in place ensuring a more upmarket finish to the homes built.

They have done a good job with footpaths, parks, bike tracks etc and they provide fencing to a common standard means we don't have to worry about that when we build, which is a big plus, potentially saving any disagreements with neighbours over fencing, which we have had problems with in the past.

Finally, we have met some of our future neighbours and there is already a sense of community, simple things like people saying hello when we have been out for a walk makes it a pleasant environment. We are really looking forward to when our home is built and we can move in.

Been working there for 13 months won't be long and the new town centrer will start being built we have been very busy in the subdivison lots of very nice houses getting built

Cafe service terrible, customer service dreadful, nothing in cafe but yukky old looking dirty green flooring so hot and stuffy coffee weak and not hot we will never go back

I've been living here for over a year now and love the atmosphere. It's getting more and more established every day and I'm looking forward to the new shops and tavern.

Nice new town still in production will be awesome when completed in twenty years blocks for sale a bit expensive per m2
