The new summer menu has landed at Ibis Sydney Airport! #Fresh #Summer #Fun
Small. Pokey room. Only 1 cup in the room took almost an hour to get a 2nd cup for a cup of tea. Over priced for what it is. Drink prices were grosely inflated.
Good value hotel near Sydney Domestic airport. We had a family room. Double bed and a single. It was modern and the restaurant had a nice menu and a standard breakfast buffet. Being accorplus members we got free WiFi, water and a chocolate bar. We stayed one night but we were very happy with our overall experience.
The Ibis isn't too bad of a hotel. It's got your basics. Decent sized room for one or two people. Quick but small elevators. Windows that block some. Noise from the street but not all of it. No pool. Decent buffet breakfast and bar. The folks at the check in desk are good. Air-conditioning in the room is way too loud and sounds like it needs a service. Couldn't sleep with it on because it was so loud. Overall it was a decent stay but wouldn't be rushing back here. Especially at $170 a night.
Great position Best thing about this hotel is the position. .. a short walk to the train station for stress free travel to the city. Also shuttle bus to the airport is very regular and only $7.00 The rooms are comfy even though a little small. Stsff are great and the bar more than satisfactory.
Very average hotel. They are too busy to pay attention to individual travelers. I paid for the buffet breakfast but realized that the options were too limited and tad focused towards the Asian clientele who stayed there. I asked for an "egg white" omelette instead of the scrambled egg that was on the buffet and was told by the "chef" that he did not know how to make one !
On check out I found that they had added drinks that I had not ordered or consumed to my bill. On raising this with the checkout they looked up the bar receipts to check and then reversed the charges out. A tip to fellow travelers, please check the itemized invoice before you leave the hotel.
I was not aware of and was very surprised to learn of the credit card surcharge that is applied to invoices paid with MasterCard. I did not see any signage indicating the surcharge nor was I warned of that during check in.
Easy to check in and out with friendly reception staff.
Close to Sydney airport by shuttle bus from the hotel at minimal cost.
Comfortable bed with comfortable facilities in the room.
Easy to get to from the train.
We were able to dine out close by at Mascot.
The Ibis Sydney Airport was a great surprise, going beyond just a place to rest and eat. Travelling from the US on into Australia, the Ibis worked really well on a number of fronts. The room was modern, well-appointed, well-planned with an efficient use of space that didn't feel at all constrained, just comfortable like the queen-sized bed. Front desk staff were efficient but friendly, helpful, and appeared to genuinely care about your guest experience. The Sydney Super Shuttle worked well both coming from and back to the airports, and the hotel's location close to metro trains was an additional bonus for the day's break from travel that we had planned. The hotel even made the problem of our excessive luggage disappear as a problem with staff help. We will definitely organise to make the Ibis Sydney Airport our go-to stopover in Sydney on our next trips.
Lives up to the IBIS experience if not better. Full breakfast a winner along with free newspapers to read.
Proximity to the airport just around the corner.
Staff willing to listen to the customer and accommodate their needs.
Would I stay there again either by myself or family, yes definitely.
I have stayed in a number of IBIS hotels both within Australia and Internationally and have never had a bad experience.
The traveller can be assured that this hotel chain lives up to its name, for comfort, price and services.
That's why I keep coming back. Well done IBIS Sydney!

The hotel overall was pleasant and the price for the accommodation was good, but having to pay for any extras was a bit over the top we felt. Parking should be included or at a lesser charge...not $25 per day. There was only a jug and a fridge in the small room and there was minimal space to put luggage. We could not afford to pay the restaurant prices for five days on top of the accommodation plus the parking, so not even being able to make a piece of toast made our stay more difficult. Then, another cost...to weigh our bags before we went to the airport could surely have been included in the whole experience.
There was no book to explain Services. We assume this was somewhere on the TV screen, but, this you need to consider, not everyone is PC or TV literate. There still needs to be readable material available.
On the Up side, the close proximity to the Train and the Airport was excellent and made it a perfect location for us to have a look around Sydney during the days we were there. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Not all could speak fluent English but the ones who could were excellent.
Quiet room. clean. comfortable. excellent service. Due to a slight complaint, we received free lunch and breakfast for 2. Happy.
Location is close to the airport with regular shuttles. Rooms are tight but cozy and comfortable. The bed and pillows where a particular highlight for me as I prefer harder mattresses and low profile pillows. Food at the resuraunt was pretty good and the prices within the ballpark for a meal of that caliber. Buffet breakfast was your standard affair but seemed overpriced compared to the general menu, unless you treat it like an all you can eat. Overall I use it as a layover when traveling back to Melbourne and for that, it's a great choice.
I was stuck at Sydney airport with next to no money as I was expecting a flight at 6 that was delayed 2 times before cancelling. I was stuck at 10pm with no where to go, and Tiger airline were terrible with help. I spoke to a lady I think named Tracy or Terry at Ibis who helped me 110%. She organised a shuttle for me, and dinner at 10.30pm even when the kitchen was basically closed. The staff were amazing and made me feel so comfortable. Thank you for helping me at time in my life where it was needed!
Conveniently located near the airport. Walking distance from the train station for easy access to the city and other suburbs. Rooms were well maintained and appropriately priced. Food was decent. Overall a good experience.
