The rooms were nice but very small. I had to sleep in a drawer 😂 but the reason i'm giving 4 stars is because of the amazing food!

User

Small rooms (especially bathrooms) but good value for money. Ideal for sole occupants away for work. On-site food good, on-site coffee great.

I have stayed here a lot over the last few years working and can state with out a doubt that the staff and service are first class.
The manager is delightful and everyone behind the counter always welcomes you with a smile and treats you like your home.
The rooms are nice, always clean and fresh and the food is delicious.
In the past I have stayed at hotels a lot dearer and no were near this standard.

Spent 2 nights here in June 2017. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Most surprising was their breakfast, they laid on the most comprehensive ."all you can eat" buffet selection at breakfast time. Would definitely come back again.

We came here to have dinner one night as we've driven past many times, but never gone inside. What we found was a little gem - great food, lovely atmosphere & friendly staff. Darren was a pleasure to talk to & whatever the chef is doing, don't change it! We loved it & will be back again soon!

Clean, friendly, adequate, priced to value

I was violently ill twenty minutes after eating a simple bowl of chips with tomato sauce and steamed veggies here. Would not recommend the food here at all.

Bartender was very polite and helpful, though.

There's a McDonald's nearby, the location is quaint and clean. Receptionist was helpful and friendly. Rooms were a little small but I guess it's a cheaper option.

We stayed in July and had a lovely girl named Lesley book us in. Room was clean, buffet breakfast was great and we had the family join us for $15 each. Chef cooked a great omelette, lots of freshly cooked food. But mainly I want to thank Lesley for being fantastic. Central location, good price.

Well it took us 20-30 minutes just to check in. AND THERE WASNT A QUEUE. Other than that though, staff were nice, place was clean and food wasn't too overpriced. The chef was excellent and there wasn't one meal that I got that I found a problem with. There was an especially brilliant worker in the restaurant area however named Alex, who without fail made us laugh and really made us feel welcome, helping in any way he can. One downside to the ibis hotel is that there are no balconys or allocated smoking area, be prepared to stand out the front in the dark after walking through the hotel for a cig.

The second worst experience in hospitality I've experienced in my life. Since my first experience as a child in 1968 spending an entire year as a guest at a long departed hotel in Tahiti, I've travelled for pleasure and work endlessly around Australia and to approximately 50 other countries (including living overseas). I've seen it all! I cannot even begin to estimate the vast number of hotels I've been a guest at....including those with iconic names and reviews including...the best in the world. On the other hand I have vast experience in all types of incredibly low budget accommodation.
But THIS place....NEVER AGAIN! ***SHUDDER*** 😲😲

If you have small children BEWARE the windows don't have any safety catches. Our 2 year old opened her window above the pull out bed without even trying. I was watching her closely every step if the way. She then climped up onto the shelf/sill with ease....and the window gap was twice her head size. She would have fallen through.

Other aspects....staff nice, bed and linen ok, room cleanliness terrible.

User

Enjoyable, well sized room with everything that it needed. Would recommend to those who need a reasonably priced, comfortable room.
