Has to be the world's worst customer service.

First, finding someone to help is an achievement in itself. Good luck with that!

Booked assembly for a particular date/time; nobody turned up

Rang IKEA, waited >40 minutes on hold and still no one came to my call. Phone battery went flat!

Found a link to send them an email, after I filled in the form on their web site, it bounced "You do not have permission to access this server". LOL what a farce!

Guys, do yourself a favour. SHOP ELSEWHERE!

We usually start with a meal and a drink.
Prices used to be really good for both the food as well as the other items they sell, but they've upped them a lot. An example is the ice cream cone we would have at the end of our shop in the food area. You would get a cone after paying and then help yourself to the soft serve at the machine. No mess, no fuss. Now it's double the price and no cone. That's not cool, Ikea!
If we have a good few hours, we'll do both floors.
The top floor consists mainly of displays, though handily you can pick up some items linked to the display throughout the top floor.
I love how they've set up rooms representing what you could have at home, be that a kitchen, bedroom or bathroom.
I also love how they have multiple rooms set up representing what a home could look like, including room sizes. They even include the paint colour of the walls!
The "view" from the "windows" of the rooms is of the actual neighbourhood around the specific Ikea! Nice touch!
The areas such as lounge or kitchen etc basically stay in the same area of the shop, though they update them, especially when the new catalogue comes out.
Dotted throughout the shop are free (disposable) measuring tapes, pencils and a handy booklet to make notes. There are trollies at key areas, as well.
The bottom floor is where you pick up all the goodies you liked upstairs and more! More often than not, we will only do the bottom floor. It's also set out in sections which flow easily. At the end of the small goods, you enter the warehouse part, where you pick up the famous flat packs before moving to the tills.
There is a children's playland where your littlies are taken care of while you shop.

I bought online couple of matresses and chossed delivering day on 18/11/17 between 11am and 3pm. We didn't receive any time on that day, now is next day Sunday and bet that will not receive anything either. We had to sleep on the floor and it seems that tonight its gonna be the same. Don't recommend to get anything in the online delivery option. So disappointed of IKEA

User

It's IKEA, just about anything for your home and all at reasonable prices. These guys understand marketing, you always find something that you have to get but never knew you needed until you see it.

User

We have been in the kitchen section for approx 1 hr 30 mins. Got 5 mins service but the guy had to go for lunch. No one came back although 3/ 4 people chatting in one spot some even looked out way then carried on chatting. But not to worry, we sorted out the computer and did it ourselves. It’s a shame that personal service hasn’t yet caught up with Ikea technology. We will shop in future as little as possible.

I'm heavily disappointed with the amount of animal products that IKEA sell.

Fur skins and pillows filled with duck feathers is disgusting and should be a thing of the past.

It's unnecessary in this day and age and with such a high volume of products I have to wonder of the hell of where and how these materials are sourced to keep up with the demand.

Customers Please Choose Animal Free Products.

Came to kitchen department to ask for replacement of cabinets for bigger size - showed them my plan and explained what I'm looking for but consultant printed wrong shop list so I went to different warehouse to pick up my items, picked it and back to my home. After checking boxes I realised that cabinet sizes are different from my explanation to ikea staff.
So I received unprofessional advise, wasted my personal and travelling time.

User

Its got everything.
Only go there if there's something you need because you can spend 4hrs easy looking at everything. ..

Hello? Where are the staff in the self serve area? I want to buy a cabinet but it's taking over half an hour. I'm about to walk out and not come back. No service and no way to get the cabinet!!

Only come here if you're picking up simple items through a self serve.

User

Perfect place to shop good furniture and other items to your house with reasonable price and good quality. Only tough part is assembling by yourself. Also have good food court in the same shopping mall.

User

I love coming to IKEA for home ideas. The Rhodes store is over two levels and is quite big. I find Rhodes to generally not be too crowded, and the parking is also 3 hours free, so you can really take your time to browse around.

User

I really like this Ikea because it is so close to Woolworths and other stores. Plenty of parking.

Bought a bed for the little one and am happy with it. I assembled myself and proud!

User

Hours incorrect on website for Easter Sunday. Drove for nearly 1 hour and closed on arrival. There were lots of other annoyed and disappointed people there too who'd also checked website before setting off. Shouldn't happen to a big store like IKEA
