The IBA offers duplicate bridge in two Illawarra locations - Figtree and Thirroul.

The IBA participated again in the Bridge for Brains Research Challenge on Thursday, 3rd May. As usual the dinner was enjoyed by all who participated. The event was hosted by a committed and energetic Carol Jeffs. Next year we are hoping to break our own record for monies raised.
About 12 pairs from IBA went to the NSW State Novice and Restricted Pairs event held at the Highlands Golf Club, Mittagong, by the Southern Highlands Bridge Club on 28th & 29th April. Most competed in the Novice event with 3 pairs in the Restricted. Overall B. Rewers & Keith Pittaway came 3rd in the Novice Pairs Championship. And Carol Jeffs & Aileen O'Brien came first in the State Novice Plate. A great event to get involved in and well done to our members for participating

The Canberra Summer Festival of Bridge (http://www.abfevents.com.au/events/not/2 018/), which is on from Tuesday 10th January until Sunday 21st January, has 43 entrants from IBA! This is the biggest contingent from IBA ever. Good luck to our team and please post some photos.
