Byron folks. Learn to live and connect deeply with nature and the rhythms and seasons of life. I’m especially excited to make plant medicines. Who’s joining me? 🌺🌿💚
#Repost @janineemersonherbalist @wildflowerwalker... ・・・ SHAMANIC HERBALISM IMMERSION WORKSHOPS - Using the Seasonal Wheel of the Year as a map, we will gather close to each of the transition times to engage with nature’s rhythms, learn about herbs, practice listening and communicating with plants, immerse ourselves in their wisdom, and make plant medicines. Each weekend will consist of two parts, both deeply aligned to the season: one day of immersion and connection with a particular plant spirit; one day of learning about a variety of herbs for a body system relevant to the season.
Within this framework we will weave in some ritual and ceremony for each of the seasonal celebrations. Some of what we will cover:
Herbs for each season and how to use them
Ways to connect with plant spirits (lots of practice)
Plant medicine making
Deep communication and relationship with plants
Making medicines with plant spirit power
Working co-creatively with nature
Shamanic drum journeying
Cycles in nature and how they affect us
Aligning with the Seasons
The Wheel of the Seasonal Year map.

Living in a destination town I get to work with many clients who are either here on holidays or who have specifically come to plug in to the healing energy of Byron Bay. A lovely thank you from one such traveller... ‘I just wanted to thank you again for the session on Saturday. Forever grateful. I’m feeling very at peace and grounded. A blessing to cross paths with you and I look forward to next time!‘ • • Herbal Wisdom Clinic, Bangalow @herbalwisdom #craniosacral #craniosacraltherapy #craniosacraltherapist #biodynamiccraniosacral #byronbay #bangalow #healingtouch #painrelief #stressrelief #nervoussystemsupport #handsonhealing #byronbayhealing #bodyintelligence #stillness

'Chronic pain, football and Craniosacral Therapy'
I’ve recently started treating an American with life long football injuries and the following account of his experience is not only inspiring but also liberating for anyone else out there who’s felt condemned to a life of pain and limitation. There is hope. And your own body knows exactly how to heal. It just needs the right environment to do it. And that’s where I can help…

Happy to be back in clinic today after two weeks working for a private client in Greece. Dust off winter with a cranio session... Appointments every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Spring is here x

An excellent read on how Cranio work can effectively treat tinnitus. It also gives great insight into how this therapy works, how the nervous system balances, and the profound benefits of being truly heard and supported by your therapist. A very grounded read for any person who wants to feel more relaxed, switch off their stress response, and live in their body, not in their head.

A lovely thank you from a client who had her first ever craniosacral treatment last week:
'Thank you so much for the beautiful treatment. I was so worn out and exhausted before I came to you and I just felt such a release of stress taken away after. I had the day off the following day and since I have been so worn down I had planned to sleep in late and not do too much. But, I woke up early and felt really energized and still in just a really calm mind frame'
There are two s...pots left this week if you would like a treatment: Tuesday 25th July at 1pm Thursday 27th July at 12noon

‘After suffering with chronic neck pain for two years, I had seen every specialist under the sun. No one could identify the cause, and I walked away with a sense of despair knowing my life would be lived in pain'
This client no longer lives with chronic pain and is enjoying life. She is a beautiful example of how a concentrated commitment to Craniosacral treatments brings lasting change in a relatively short amount of time. Read all about her experience here...

Craniosacral treatments are a fundamental part of my self-care. I receive regular sessions and more often when life is tough. Self-care is essential, yet there is no right or wrong as to what self-care looks like for each of us.
'Self-care involves actively setting intentions for yourself — being honest with yourself and others about your needs, desires, fears, and dreams. From this place, we can be authentic leaders, engaged partners, and productive members of any team'.

Craniosacral therapy and yoga work beautifully together and enhance the benefits of each other. Clients who practice yoga usually can feel the inner subtleties of the Cranio work a lot quicker as they are already attuned to their breath and have a developed self awareness and practiced sense of going within.
Yoga is a huge part of my self care routine and supports my body and mind to hold the highest space as a practitioner. I personally find Yin yoga similiar to Cranio. The slower pace facilitates dropping out of your mind, going deep into your body. You can really let go and feel the body release and self correct, creating an opportunity to access stillness and reorient to your midline/centre.

'Ten sessions of craniosacral therapy resulted in a statistically greater improvement in pain intensity, hemoglobin oxygen saturation, systolic blood pressure, serum potassium, and magnesium level than did 10 sessions of classic massage in patients with low back pain'

Confused about what Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is? Here are first hand accounts of how BCST improved the health and lives of some of my clients...

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy allows the body to gently settle, accessing it's breath and stillness. It is a process of embodiment that teaches us how to self-regulate by coming into better relationship with our body. When we are embodied there is no room for anxiety or an over-active mind. We feel centred and whole and can manage and modify arousal states that arise in our daily lives.
If you would like to experience this subtle yet profound work I am at Stable Health in St Kilda - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

'Craniosacral therapy proven to relieve chronic neck pain and migraines'
My own personal experience with Torticollis (wryneck) and back dysfunction was healed by Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy (BCST). It was so impressive and effective that I became a qualified practitioner.
I've helped many clients with these conditions and found it to be a great treatment for migraines, especially as part of a multi-pronged approach to self care.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a non-invasive, hands on treatment that originated within Osteopathy. It gently and safely works with the body's natural capacity for self repair to treat a wide range of conditions. It aids in pain relief, relaxes the nervous system and encourages the body as a whole to balance and self regulate.
