As a company, we've donate two dollars from every order to microfinance non-profit Microlend; an inspiring organization that primarily helps women in developing countries lift themselves from an intergenerational poverty, by providing them with business training and a loan to start their own small business. Since May, we donated $6, 000 to Microlend. With an average loan size of $500 and an average of 5 people in a family in the countries that Microlend operates, you and I have helped approximately 50 people lift themselves from an intergenerational poverty. We hope to continue to grow IMBER into a social venture that creates thoughtful and beautifully designed earring stacks that also help other women in the process. For as stated by Jacqueline Novogratz, the woman who created the very first microfinance bank in Rwanda, "Think of yourself as a bridge extending forward, so that others may walk across.
