Acupuncture is a therapy that involves the insertion of fine, single use needles into the skin to promote the movement of energy or 'qi' in the body. It can be used on its own, or with massage, energy work, herbs or supplements to help restore the body to good health. Treatments take around 45 minutes on average and most people take this opportunity to relax and go inwards, listening to gentle sounds of nature or relaxing music. Results begin to show sometimes immediately, or in a couple of days, as the new energy flow restores health in the body, mind and soul.
