Inner West Council Library And History Description

Inner West Library and History extends far beyond the written word. Some of the key events, benefits and collections that we provide include children's books, CDs, DVDs and talking books; collections in multiple languages (including Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Arabic).

Our eight libraries host both regular and special events, ranging from popular author talks, to trivia evenings, movie screenings and history presentations.

All branches have free WiFi access and we have computers which members can use to access the Internet for 90 minutes per day. Home Library is another great program, whereby those who can't make it to the library in person can get their items delivered.

Our History department offers the community valuable resources, from research and cultural collections and exhibitions to Council archive access and local walking tours.
