Inside The Lines Tennis Academy is owned and operated by Gavin and Ann-Maree Yip. Gavin has played tennis since the age of 6 and grew up playing tennis in the Inner West – Gavin's passion for tennis has led him to complete his qualifications and is a Club Professional Tennis Coach (Level 2). Gavin has been coaching at Schools for 12 years and in that time has introduced and shared his passion for the sport with generations of children. Gavin progressed into elite squads and then competed at local, club, regional, state and national competitions throughout his junior years. Gavin knows tennis like the back of his hand and is always available to chat about your tennis needs. Gavin is also a qualified stringer, and has string racquets for Babolat Australia. Gavin has strung at many events and tournaments for professionally ranked Tennis players. He has been a stringer at the Sydney International since 2010, he strung at the Champions Tour in Sydney in 2009 and he was the stringer for the APIA Wheelchair International in 2014. His passion for the sport has led him to racquet customisation, Gavin realised that along with coaching, having a racquet customised to your needs would maximise your advantage ensuring that you play your best game, every time. Ann-Maree's expertise lies in the details and is the support behind the scenes. Ann-Maree's love of tennis started at an early age and she continues to have a hit and a giggle when ever she can. Our motivated, enthusiastic and professional staff ensures every player gets the most out of their game on the court and with Gavin being able to customise your racquet we have all of your needs in one handy location!

Inside The Lines Tennis Academy is owned and managed by Gavin and Ann-Maree Yip. ITL has been in operating since September 2015. Since ITL's inception ITL has been operating out of and managing all aspects of running the tennis courts at Richmond Tennis Centre, which is located on one of the main thoroughfares in Richmond. The club itself has been a local institution, being established in 1923.

ITL is extremely proud to have close working relationship with the Hawkesbury District Tennis Association (HDTA), which itself has a long history in the community and is held in high esteem. HDTA works closely with ITL in an advisory capacity ensuring, amongst other things that the club members and their guests are always looked after.

Gavin was born into a sporting family and has played tennis since 1984 when he was just 6 years of age. Gavin grew up playing tennis in Sydney's Inner West – His passion for the game led him to complete his qualifications making him a Club Professional Tennis Coach (Level 2). Gavin has been coaching in Schools since 1998 and in that time, has introduced and shared his passion for the sport with generations of children, this is something that Gavin actively continues to do and promote.

Gavin is also a qualified racquet stringer, and has strung racquets for Babolat Australia. Being able to provide this facility along with Gavin’s expertise is an invaluable service to our members and their guests and ensures a comprehensive service offering.

Gavin has also strung at many events and tournaments for professionally ranked Tennis players. He has been a stringer at the Sydney International since 2010, he strung at the Champions Tour in Sydney in 2009 for the likes of John McEnroe and Henri Leconte and he was the stringer for the APIA Wheelchair International in 2014. Gavin͛s passion for the sport has led him to racquet customisation, Gavin realised that along with coaching, having a racquet customised to your needs would maximise your advantage ensuring that you play your best game, every time.

Ann-Maree is responsible for overseeing, managing and supervising the business’ activities and it’s employees and keeping the staff aligned with ITL’s goals. Ann-Maree also actively seeks funding and sponsorship deals to enable to club to grow and develop.
