By far the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! disgusting way of treating people website not updated you can never get things done in one day let alone the time it closes!! At 1pm they think it's iraq!!

User

Disgusting experience. Treated like sheep. Not enough seats to cater for all people standing and crowding corridors. Long wait time due to being understaffed. Closes at 1pm not 3pm. Felt i was in a developing country - iraq. Poor customer service. If you don't insist and yell, you won't get anything done.

I hope we learn how to speak to each other in a more respectful way. We all have degrees therefore most of us are well educated. No one is on top of another. some staff are very good and helpful and i respect them, but some staff needs to have more courses on how to manage clients and privacy interference. We leave in a country where clients comes in the first place and have the right to be respected and treated equally. However some staff are well trained and appreciated for their work

get new staff people who are nicer to talk to people who do their jobs

زرت القنصلية بتاريخ ٢٧ نيسان ووجدت كل الترحيب والمساعدة وأنجزت ٤ معاملات في ساعتين.
شكراً لموظفي القنصلية على المعاملة الطيبة والمساعدة.
Excellent service and very helpful staff.
Visited on 26 Apr 9:30 am and finished passport application and 2 power of attorney and “proof of life” (😉love the name) in less than 2 hours. Thanks to all the wonderful staff.

Worst experience. Worst customer service. So, so rude. Are the staff underpaid. Is that why they're so rude? Who forced you to have such a job man, go sit at home and be lazy, clear the scene for employees who actually care about supporting and assisting people. You're an Iraqi consulate, not Centrelink. You're not giving us stuff for free mate. If this is how the people of Iraq are then no thank you. I'll visit a country elsewhere

Disgusting service absolutely horrific, Tellers with attitude and utter disrespect. Matters will be taken further..

What a bunch of losers!! They arrived to Melbourne to "facilitate" issuing some official documents and other requirements for Iraqis in Melbourne. Very chaotic and disorganised!! Their website clearly set out the requirements for issuing an Iraqi birth certificate, yet they FAILED to direct people to bring in a self addressed registered mail to receive it by mail, as people were under the impression that the document would be issued on the spot, just like other certificates. After 6 hours of painful wait in the so called queue, I got to face the Counsel, Ali, who was totally hopeless, saying that the IRAQI CONSULATE could NOT arrange for an envelope to send the doc back to me although I offered to pay x10 times the cost of the registered mail (I had ALL paperwork ready to go otherwise!). Being 5 pm on Sunday, it was impossible to find a post office to get a self addressed registered mail. As I work all day Mon/Tue, it was not an option to drive back to their location (1 hour from my work/ home). Although I explained that to him, he was unwilling to help whatsoever. I finally asked him if there was a way to provide feedback complaint, he laughed at me and shrug his shoulders... what a disgrace !! Now I have to fly ALL the way to Sydney to get this sorted, unbelievable !!

The consulate is closed until further notice!! without providing any information online except a sticker on a door. Of course this goes on top of their very poor service to Iraqi residents.

Very unorganised service, the service office (not gonna call it a consulate because it doesn't deserve that name) arrived in Melbourne on the 29th, 30th, 31st of March and were in total disgrace, with people fighting, people going around the back. The Iraqi service centre should of had a person at the door check people information and getting them prepared to complete their objectives. Not to say their was no security. Come on guy get your act together and provide a better service that people can look up to you.
Regards Hussein

Not enough resources and services are very slow, most of the workers are good but there aren't any computer to process your application or even printers or scanners, they make you come and go for everything, not to mention they only accept American currency, which I think it is completely wrong, we should use Australian currency since we are in Australia.

User

The phone not answer as usual

arrived there and the security guard wasn't there to scan his card on lift so it goes to level eleven got of lift someone at front desk playing with phone he didn't even bother to say how can i help you, then i asked him he said yea you just sign your name in in the book. then went to left desk there was an officer asked if i have photo copies for iraqi IDs they don't even have a photo copier ,i mean i don't mind paying for it but you know how it is in city not easy to find shops to do photo copy and he just said go to office work or cafe next door , after 15 min walk went back to security to help me find a place to do photo copies.after that was ok. it took me an hour and half . if you catching train Martin Place is the closest one to consulate.
