When l first walked in l didnt expect much. Then a guide came. We fed and patted sharks and rays. Left more knowledgeable than when we entered. Well worth a visit

User

Absolutely loved it! it was the best experience Ryan was fantastic and taught us lots of interesting things! Very educational it's definitely something everyone needs to do! I will definitely be going back to spend time with these beautiful animals that are so misunderstood by so many people!

User

Great experience! Loved it! Touching the sting rays and sharks and getting into the tanks to feed them. A must do when you visit Nelson Bay.

Ryan and his team were great guides for us today, you can see their passion for what they do, and the messages they convey were both educational and ethical. Our young daughter had a great time in the water and they made sure she got as good an experience, if not better than the older kids and adults. I highly recommend everyone visit this lovely family run business and support what they're trying to do for our environment.

A great family experience. Friendly staff. No rush or hassles. Spend as little or much time there as you want. Countless rays and sharks. Surprisingly large and beautiful.
Easy to find. Easy to park.

User

Difficult to find but well worth the search. Epic day in the water with sharks and rays. The learning was off the scale, you think you know sharks... Well you don't...not even nearly. What's even better is that the entrance price helps towards saving many of these amazing creatures. Wow!

User

Absolutely amazing experience, would definitely recommend it! My two year old loved being able to touch and feed the rays and sharks, wasn't scared at all. It helped that the staff were friendly and helpful. They really seemed passionate and knowledgeable about the rays and sharks, we loved learning some more about our friends in the ocean. The price was well worth the experience, we were there over two hours and would've stayed longer if not for a tired toddler. And the staff were extremely professional and not body shaming about getting a bigger wetsuit for me, thank you girls! It was an unforgettable visit!

Been to this place every year for the past 3 years, with our 3 young children. Main reason for the 5 star review is that it is such a unique experience. Being able to feed and pat sharks and stingrays is amazing. Our kids have enjoyed it from the age of 2, and never felt threatened.

I do have some reservations about the conservation aspect but since the change of ownership there seems to be at least some focus on it, and it was nice to see some little stingray pups at the last visit which we were told would be released into the wild at a later stage.

Best enjoyed early in the morning on a hot day, before the crowds come. We usually spend between 60-90mins there at a time.

Think about balloons seriously! Do you really need them, are they that important, can you replace them with lanterns, lights or wooden painted decorations that can be reused!?

Thank you for all the calls and messages about our safety, we are very lucky the fire did not cross onto this peninsula at all so now we are nowhere near it. Our deepest thoughts and hearts are with all the community defending their houses. Please stay safe! Photo credit- Jeanie Lawson as she evacuated yesterday- Tanilba Bay

**FISH FACT FRIDAY**
Port Jackson Sharks are from a family of sharks called Horn Sharks. They have a small spine in front of each of their dorsal fins for protection. If something tries to eat them, it will likely be hurt by the spine enough to spit them out.

Catch Irukandji tonight on NBN Television NEWS as we hatch the baby rescued Crested Horn Shark from her artificial egg! This little fella had a tough start to life almost two months ago when she was cut from her egg by some children at a beach near Foster. Now she has a second chance at life ❤️🦈 #nbnnews #irukandji #seashelter #protectwhatyoulove💙

Great experience!! My husband & I went, wasn't sure what to expect but it was good run. The rays & sharks swim right up for food & the smaller ones are like puppies the way they beg for food. Would recommend & do again with our nephew
