I founded J9 in 2014 to contribute to the growth of Australia's cultural future by applying my entrepreneurial skills and success in founding and building new entities in the private, non-profit and for purpose sectors. J9 provides strategic advice to government and cultural organisations on strategic planning, income diversification and sustainability which we support with implementation and coaching. An expert facilitator, I have presented internationally and nationally. I have 25 + years governance experience, trained 350 + organisations and directly raised $30M in addition to advising on how to raise funds for a vibrant and sustainable cultural sector. Recent projects include Founding Executive Director of Music in the Regions, seed funded by the state government agency, Create NSW which has resulted in new audiences, cultural tourism and activation of new cultural infrastructure across NSW while developing artists. J9 was also recently contracted by Newcastle City Council to secure its first sponsors for its new arts festival, The New Annual, setting the foundations for its sustainability. I'm Chair of Performance Space, a 40 year old contemporary arts company, inaugural Chair of Art Bryon, a new festival which provides a platform for contemporary artists and Board member of the social enterprise, The Social Outfit.
