Jaxsta Fact: Spotify boasts more than 30 million songs. You can add 9,999 tracks to one playlist but the amount of tunes you can save to your library is capped at 10,000. So why is there a limit? According to Spotify, "the reason is because less than 1% of users reach it."

Happy release day Catherine Britt! The Aussie singer-songwriter is back with her seventh studio album, 'Catherine Britt & The Cold Cold Hearts.' The album - which conjures up vibrant Australian imagery - was recorded in a purposely-built studio in Catherine's backyard, dubbed the Beverley Hillbilly Studios. Catherine and The Cold Cold Hearts (Michael Muchow & Andy Toombs) even self-produced the album, with Bill Chambers featuring on all tracks. Amy Shark's debut album, 'Love Monster,' is officially here! It's been a stellar year for the Aussie singer-songwriter, including the announcement of her Splendour in the Grass appearance and her own Aussie tour starting in August. The album—which features 'I Said Hi' and 'Psycho' with @Blink182 bassist, Mark Hoppus—is deeply personal, with Shark saying "sorry if it hurts you," referring to people who were once close to her. OnThisDay: in 1971, pop stars Bjorn Ulvaeus and Agnetha, who were 26 and 21 at the time, said I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do in Verum, Sweden. ABBA mania swept the nuptials, with 3000 fans showing up to catch a glimpse of their idols' special day. Unbelievably, the bride was slightly injured when the chaos caused a police horse to step on her foot!

Much loved American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and short-film maker, Richard Swift has passed away at the age of 41. A member of The Shins from 2011 – 2016, touring bassist for The Black Keys in 2014 and drummer for The Arcs, Swift was also an acclaimed solo artist. He was the founder, owner, and recording engineer of National Freedom, a recording studio located in Oregon, and a producer for The Shins, Damien Jurado, Foxygen, and Nathaniel Rateliff just to name a few. But, it doesn’t stop there, Swift’s talents extended to illustration, designing album sleeves for Foxygen and others. He was an influential member of many communities, and we thank him for his contribution to music.

Jaxsta Fact: @HayleyKiyoko is known for her work as an actress, singer, songwriter and LGBT trailblazer, but she's also talented behind the camera. After co-directing her 'Girls Like Girls' music video (with over 90 million views, it's Kiyoko's most-watched video), she solely directed her next video for 'Cliff's Edge' in 2015. Since then, Kiyoko has directed another five of her own music videos, including 'Curious' from her debut album 'Expectations' released this year.

On This Day: in 1972, David Bowie recorded 'John, I'm Only Dancing' at London's Olympic Studios with legends Mick Ronson on lead guitar and Lou Reed on rhythm guitar. The track, which is believed to be about a gay relationship, was a hit in the UK but was deemed too risqué by RCA Records and wasn't released in the US. The original video, which featured androgynous dancers from Lindsay Kemp's mime troupe, was even banned by British music show Top Of The Pops.
