Do your research. Went to buy a printer we researched online that was advertised as coming with full set of ink and reviewed as one of its high lights. JB tried to inform us it only came with minimal ink and hey ho they had a special deal on inks. Oh really, what a surprise. Not.

my son bought a phone from here which was defective, we took it back to this store to return, my son had not had this phone for four hours it would not accept a pre paid card. but they refused to give him back his money saying they would have to send it away for repair. after arguing and i do mean arguing with the manager for some time he said ok and we got our money back. all i can say is there was no service and myself and my son were more or less called liars. that is one shop i will NOT have anything to do with. the only reason you got a star is because it wouldnt allow me to post this without giving you one.

Great range of products and the standard JB setup. Service was not offered, we needed to ask. When picking up the product at the loading dock they spent 10mins (with our receipt) trying to figure out what we were there to get.

VERY HAPPY WITH THIS STORE - just bought a camcorder, did not know how to put cards in, or operate it. the Staff - BONNIE and DAN, were very helpful. They took the time to show me how to set it all up. Their Prices were really good, too. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this JB HI FI store in George street Parramatta. Service was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. I had to go to the store three times before there were any sales staff around. On the second visit the store manger was on the PA begging the sales guys to come out on the floor and serve customers. On my third visit I had a question and I asked one of the salesmen and he ignored me. I was standing right next to him and he acted like I hadn't spoken. I went to the security guard and she then strode over to him and said, with some exasperation, "you have a customer, mate" He finally glared at me and answered my question. I took the item to the checkout and the guy there was busy chatting to another staff member. The only time he spoke to me was to say "tap your card, dude". He never looked at me, never said hello and didn't thank me for my business.

It was so bad I felt like I was on the set for a comedy sketch.

Went to few JB stores wanting to buy a phone and the staff seems so busy ( I think they are pretending to be busy) and don't give eye contact and run away. It's like we are trying to sell something to them. I do not recommend this place unless you have no choice.

Bought a product worth over two thousand dollars and it was faulty..., so they took it back and checked it out ...... SIX MONTHS LATER they finally got back to me replacing the product only for me to find it was used and also faulty so two days ago I called and the specialist for the product was busy so they took down my number telling me that they would call back as soon as they were done with the customer it and still they haven’t gotten back to me. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IF THERE IS ANOTHER OPTION LIKE BING LEE , THE GOODGUYS GO FOR IT BECAUSE TIME IS MONEY AND THEY COULDNT CARE LESS

Staff are generally very good, except this new guy who tried to tell me that inner ear headphones are not covered under warranty lol... but it was his second day. Other than that overconfident dofus, the staff I have dealt with were fantastic and have always looked after me with price and when I have made warranty claims which has been mostly seamless!

Was happy with Joe is games, I could see he was genuinely trying to help me with a faulty item. He got bogged down by internal processes and a lack of "managers" around to support him. My advice would be to give your staff more autonomy so they can help people faster.

Totally unprofessional and uninterested staff
I went to JB Hi-Fi with the intention to buy the Kobo Aura One e-reader, price 349$.
As the display item wasn't charged and obviously not charging, I asked one of the staff members for help. His first reaction was: "Why do you want to test it for?" Euh... Maybe because it's a 350 bucks device? I don't think he asks customers who try out a tablet why they are doing so. He then told me that the device is actually charging, and that I should be more patient. 10 minutes later it was still not charging...
I asked another staff memeber to check the device, which turned out to be faulty. He then simply started to list the devices specs and features - which I knew well enough already to point out that one thing he told me was not totally true - assuming I would purchase it based on his mere statement that it's a good product.
Upon asking him to provide another display device, he refused, telling me that someone else was responsible for the displays.
That's terribly unprofessional, as it cannot be expected that customers buy expensive devices without testing them first to check if they suit their needs or are worth an upgrade.
There's no way I'll spend money in a shop where sales people aren't the least interested in customer satisfaction.

Came in around 4:50 wanted to find out more about drones. But after about 20 mins and THREE service calls by a nice guy who was putting on sales sticker, no one came over to help.

Pretty standard JB Hi-Fi. Staff are helpful but if it's at all busy it is well understaffed. When not busy they are eager to help. Reasonable range of products, seems to have a few more items I'm looking for than most other of these stores

The service here is always hit and miss. Most of the time the staff are friendly, but they often don't know much about the products they're selling. The check-out is usually pretty quick and the prices are reasonable.
I'd recommend shopping online and picking up in store.

The staff were so helpful when helping me organise a replacement of my faulty headphones. David even spoke on the phone on my behalf to help explain the issues and was so very helpful. All of the staff members I spoke to were so lovely and helpful.

Strangely shaped store. It's been here for ages but now that Westfield has a flagship there's less reason to visit. Didn't have the Range and stock.

Every time I have to return something to any of the JB Hi-Fi stores I get excellent service. They have replaced a few faulty fitbits without any hassle apart from the basic checks. Hope they stay in business as they're a pleasure to deal with.

Very rude staff. Don't bother. See pics. All I asked for is whether they match price. Ben was very rude and arrogant. The response was "that's good, go to the other store then". Won't come back to this store as long as this staff is still around.

If you see Ben, don't bother talking to him. He won't make any deal and would just make you angry / upset and waste your time.

Beware of the mobile section. These guys try to get you change to Telstra plan by making false promises but these features get never added to your plan. I was told I will get free international calls feature but they never added to my plan. And Telstra was too happy to charge me exorbitant rates for few calls I made

well i was standing near the apple stand wanting some help, 2 guys (STAFF) were talking about going to the uni bar and who they were going with and commenting about the "chicks" they were going to crack onto. I had to interrupt their deep conversation . I said "excuse me" he turned to me and just said 'yeah". I was appauled at his manners and he wasn't very helpful. Worst customer service ever , I tried to purchase a beats Solo 3 . I was too confused to make my decision which one is the best .and the guy there talked with me few seconds. I asked him if you are busy and he told me YES and he just spent 30 mins to arrange the stuff near me . Does that reasonable???

Store is okay but delivery arrangements and service is appalling. Washing machine was out of stock and was told in store it would be a week late. Subsequently informed it would be a fortnight plus before it was delivered.
Then, despite seemingly arranging delivery in store for a fridge as part of the same purchase, I was told by the delivery service (a sub-contractor) that I was required to re-confirm delivery with them (via a ambigious text message), that it would have to be a day later than I originally had ordered it (because it doesn't leave the warehouse until the day after you reconfirm with the sub-contractor) and then to top it off, the delivery service had incorrect details for my delivery which I had to correct for them.

Sadly, this store has gone from having a great range of music, well selected to suit the market of the area, to now having to order in 75% of the new releases I seek. I know the music allocation is not done at a store level, and head office are showing themselves to be totally incompetent

Absolutely superb service! I went in looking to buy a $50 portable radio and was kindly greeted by a handsome young whippersnaper called Ben. His knowledge about portable radios was absolutely incredible. I ended up being a little cheeky and purchasing not one.. but TWO portable radios! If you ever need to buy a portable radio make sure to ask for Ben! What a cutie pie.

I have visited this store few times for audio and home theater. I can't say about other sections but the audio hardware section is poorely managed. The staff is extremely unhelpful.

It has happened at least twice that I was practically asking around people to help buy a product and the staff practically did not care.

During my last visit i had to buy a sony DAB radio and the demo piece had no power. I asked Β the staff if they could charge the demo piece (a micro-usb charger was all that was needed) so that i could have a listen and decide to buy the radio. The person flatly refused. I mean, am I supposed to believe that these guys dont have a single micro-usb charger in the store to charge their own demo piece?

I then asked another person for help, who said that he couldn't help because he was a "Google employee".

I did get help from another staff, after i narrated the problem and my experience so far. I did buy the radio eventually, despite the staff.

Will i go there again? Maybe yes, and only when i know i don't have to deal with their staff.

Called up the store at 9 am Saturday morning. Spoke to Joe re product I wanted to get. Was assured it was in stock and that one would be put aside for me. Went to the store with two small kids. Parking is horrible, busy unbelievably busy. It turns out Joe did not put one aside for me and that there is no stock of What I needed. What a joke, and what's waste of a Saturday. We spend thousands in the store, but this experience will result in taking my business elsewhere. The young ones have no clue in customer service.

Went to exchange an item.
Told one of the staff member that the item I bought yesterday was faulty, he then gave me a replacement and told me to go to the counter.
I have queued at the counter just to be redirected to someone who can do a "faulty item report" then after that I went back to the counter where I left the replacement item- was ready to pay for any difference.

Andrea (however you spell your name), the counter attendant, asked me if I was on the line and what am I doing in front of another counter, I said I am going to pay and take the replacement item...She then told me to join the end of the line....
Andrea, in this world, people value their time, okay?
It is not like I have not queued in the first place...and mind you, I went to your store early so I could get out early as I still need to drive 48Kms for work.

I hope you'd experience what I and others are experiencing so you would know and hopefully you would learn.

I went into this store yesterday to buy a CD. I select the item and proceeded to the payment counter. There was no one ahead of me. There were 5 JB HiFi employees behind the counter. One was on the phone. The others were doing nothing. I waited and waited but seemed to be ignored. I gave up. Put the CD back and left the store. Absolutely terrible customer service. I'll go elsewhere.

One star seems a little high of a rating minus 3 maybe.
Most bullshit experience I've ever had at a jbhifi store.
I waited for nearly 20 minutes and when I finally found a staff member he took off to deal with someone who had come in after me, telling me "I will be with you in a moment" I waited in the same spot he told me too then as soon as he was done he promply looked at me and went off to serve someone else. So all in all it was a little over 30 minutes wasted and I ended up leaving without getting my questions answered or my items. 10/10 DO NOT recommend this store to anyone who values their time and good, no not even good just semi decent service.

I called two Harvey norman stores to purchase a samsung tablet...no stock and vague answers. I called JB Hifi at Warringah Mall and Steve in the IT dept advised me good price, checked stock physically in store then put it aside for me. $779 to JB Hifi so thanks steve legend service

I came here at 11:30am on a Thursday, barely anyone in the store. I was there to pick up an online order, so made my way to the online pick ups. There was one guy ahead of me getting served. The representative looked over and even made eye contact with me so he was fully aware I was waiting next. After he finished with the customer ahead of me, the representative disappeared out the back never to be seen again. About 5 minutes later, someone who was over at the regular counter was called over so they could use the computer at the online pickups counter (for some reason?) I continued to wait while 4 representatives crowded around the computer to help one guy with his issue and nobody asked me if I needed any help.
Finally, after almost 20 minutes, someone looked up and asked what I was after.
A shame I had already paid the $260 for what I was collecting.

I recently tried to trade some PS4 games here which I had purchased from the same store a few weeks earlier, when I also bought a brand new PS4 and a Windows tablet at the same time.
I was refused the trade because I am not Australian, and only had a Canadian Drivers Licence to "prove my identity". Even as i tried to explain that the items were purchased at the store, along with other items valued over $2000, the little store owner seemed to enjoy trying to humiliate me in front of my two young sons. Because I am not Australian. Even though I am a highly skilled foreign national lured here by an Australian company to fill a gap in the market for which no Australian seemed available.
Needless to say, I took my trade elsewhere. EB Games were quite happy to trade and accept my Canadian Drivers License as proof of ID. For a better price I might add!
I will NEVER return to any of this franchise, who discriminate against people such as me. A prior customer, who happens to be from another (well known) country.

Be careful when you going for an exchange for a flawed product, especially if you are no "WHITE". Talk to those Asian guy in the store promise you wont have any issue with the store. If you see a Tall, skiny with hairy face guy, offen wear a red hood ignore him or give a try :)

I bought the Headphone of boss I specifically asked for model one of their staff member grab from store room and it was 30 dollar less I asked him why is it less he said price went down and did not check it there and went home find out he had sold another one. Next day went to the store and I find out if it's open they did not change it and the person sold me was not in store so manager told me I can give you booklet about it and I asked why did I have not been told over the counter that this is the policy and she said we trained our girls to tell you while making sell. Just went in to purchase a pair of noise-cancelling headphones and got served by an amazing person - Tony! After a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones were faulty, Tony helped us happily and made us feel welcome in the store. Purchased a pair of sony noise cancelling headphones as well as a 1 year warranty and an extra 2 year warranty for our Bose's that were replaced.

I went to JH hifi today around 2.00pm. I just want to know there have Square leader payment solution or not cause I fund it have at Post office but post office they said they don't have it in Wollongong then I try JB . First when I walk to them two fat boys with white shirt and short in note book section I can see when I walk to them their eyes and face seem not really welcome . I could felt they were not comfortable or happy to give me help when I show them the photo about square leader payment. They said they never seen this one before . I would just like to thank JB HiFi Wollongong for your help today with purchasing a new printer for my elderly (84 year old) Dad. Getting Dad into the store was a major effort as his mobility has deteriorated markedly so by the time he staggered (literally) through the front door with me, I was quite worried about him. So I asked a JB guy for directions and to the printers as Dad did not have the ability to wander around the store. This lovely man guided us to the right area and then as he must have noticed how frail my father was..went and found a chair so Dad could sit down whilst I figured out the best printer option for him and with him. I asked the JB fellow if he knew anything about printers and he said that he was just security. He was actually a wonderful human who works for JB HiFi and we were very grateful for his help today. Thanks!

Huge range of just about everything, varied brands of the same item to pick from, sometimes I have to go looking for staff to help but that's not unreasonable, staff have always been pleasant and professional, they price match against their competition, or even if I ask if they can do a better price there is usually a little bit of wriggle room. I don't like their queuing system to pay but it's not like it's unique only to them. Highly recommend. Note the stupid pin is wrong on Google maps and my attempts to correct it have been rejected. They're located in the building with Coles, on the top floor near the food court.

Even tho I was just looking around, not one employee at all bothered to at least ask if we needed any help or assistance with anything, while I'm usually fine with looking for what I need myself, it's a real shame to see them rush to other customers and help them but not offer me any assistance. The JB-HI-FI at Charlestown square is better than this store. I probably will want to buy things from that JB-HI-FI from now on instead of coming to this store and being treated as if I'm not there or i'm invisible.

Retrain your staff to assist ALL CUSTOMERS, I took a retail course and know how bad it is when you ignore customers or don't ask them if they need any assistance with anything.

Pretty good with a decent range of products. If you're after something they don't have in stock they'll check other local JB HiFi stores for you. Price matching is a bonus

Good range of products for most people. After moving to new location have dumped their car audio AND musical instruments sections and increased the homeware sections. Bit of a joke of a Hi-Fi store that you can go buy an ironing board but not a car Hi-Fi system. Obvious grab at the Harvey Norman market share by sacrificing useful electronics

I bought my mac computer from this store when my pc died. The salesperson, Paul, was extremely helpful, kind and knowledgable. Recommended.

I wear glasses and want to make sure headphones won't hurt my ears but they don't have display stock and can't open packaging, not comfortable paying $200 for something I can't feel.

Knowledgeable staff, at times feel like a hang out for employees which takes away from the speed of service. Not a lot of room for prams or wheek chairs to get around

Just got home from buying my new 65" tv all excited. Get my wall bracket on. Start to unwrap tv oh wait no plastic just foam corners and front. No plastic stuck around trims. hmm and then batteries already in the remote.. and yes just as expected the thing will not turn on at all. Not by remote with batteries changed not on the side of the tv not at all just a red standby light. Cheers for the previously returned or second hand piece of crap that I'm now paying finance on.

Prices are not competitive with online prices unless items are on sale. Staff are often disinterested or too busy to help. I only come here when I need whatever product I'm buying immediately,otherwise it's better to buy online.

Visited to purchase a DVD, which was the easy part. The waiting time to be served was ludicrous and a large line formed behind me (I was first in line). There were three people attending to one customer and the manager who came and put a "pin" into the till failed to react. The plump old security guard is always friendly and offers a great greeting and farewell.

Staff are always busy, yet always happy to help and great with inquiries and advice! They also happily price matched a same stocked item from Officeworks, and I want to give a commendation to the two counter staff on Saturday arvo. Raises the bar for my work at EB Games :)

It was not very good at all besides one staff who was very good. His name was mark or some thing but he bought/ordered the very good deal on my Samsung galaxy s6 edge awhile ago and when I went to hurstville they say NOPE gone gone. I could tell this guy was very nice but I did wait for many people for hrs and some who pushed in front of me. I did have to wait for this to arrive but others wouldnt even give it to me. This deal was good and I gave my old old flip phone Samsung for a further discount they had going on. He was very funny and cute saying oh its actually not a bad phone durable and still works and some photos weren't deleted he said was fine although I shouldve checked if other things could be taken out... Seems like it couldn't be taken out and alot of photos and things eould just be diaspeared or I quickly took using anorher phone... Whatever. Now everyone else was not the best - we went in to ask for another wire usb to charge the phone with as our one was broken and they said no u buy a new one in our store and we can offer a slight discount ... Still expensive and it is under warranty! The whole reason you buy in Australia for these phones... I bought a new phone anyway as there were bad incidents when I had this phone including being abused and raped and needing to recover data for me to go to court and evidence ... And the earphones I bought broke and they (a girl) very hesitatingly and aggressively said omg its been a while so obvi one doesnr work la la la but in the end she did refund it into a giftcard when I paid cash. Whatever I bought another one which was a bit more expensive as the same one was gone and was stolen at my school ... Just my luck... Security did check us not others not sure if its because of our appearance/race

Everything you want from an electrical and entertainment store. Would give 5* but you're always quizzed about what you bought from security as you leave.

I have needed to return 2 items from the many things I have bought here. On both occasions the return request was denied. Even bought in my credit card statement as proof of purchase. Nope they wanted the original packaging for a faulty SD card which was purchased months ago...Are you kidding me. On subject of faulty goods return policy I would give a zero but I suppose it doesn't hurt to be generous so.... 1 star...

Damir from I.T. was a big help to me today. I was attempting to install Windows on my Mac and he helped me get it happening, helping other customers while it was downloading, checking back in with me to see how it was progressing. Much appreciated.

Hard to get any service proactively. Have to literally flag down someone to get any service. Never seem to have enough stock and the air conditioning barely works so you feel like you're in a sauna when you are forced to go down there to get something. Might be the reason that the staff are not so friendly or helpful?
