Penrith Skills for Jobs Ltd trading as JobQuest was set up by a group of concerned citizens and volunteers in 1987 to provide basic community services for disadvantaged people in Western Sydney.

Now operating in both Western Sydney and Newcastle, it is JobQuest's aim to help disadvantaged members of the community to be resourceful, independent and self-reliant, and be connected and accepted by the general community and the public.

JobQuest services:
Youth Services
Operating both in and out of schools, JobQuest consultants aim to connect with young people at risk of disengaging or who have disengaged from school. Whilst addressing the barriers to education and training, JobQuest consultants assist clients in identifying goals related to education and training.
Some programs currently in operation are: Youth Connections, Links to Learning, RAW (Ready Arrive Work), IEA (Independent Employment Advisors).

Training Services:
JobQuest is a Registered Training Organisation that has been in the employment and training industry for over 15 years! JobQuest is a member of Jobs Australia and ACPET (Australian Council for Private Education & Training). Jobquest offers traineeships in the following areas:
- Business /Business Administration
- Property Services
- Cleaning Operations.

Lawns and Grounds
While JobQuest provides Nationally Recognised Qualification training in Property Maintenance, we also provide quality Property Maintenance Services to the community at very competitive prices.

JobQuest is experienced in government & private property maintenance. All staff have a security clearance and the service is fully insured.

Social Enterprise
JobQuest operates a social enterprise project in property maintenance. The Project creates opportunities for disadvantaged job seekers including long term unemployed, people with disabilities, refugees with limited language skills, homeless or at risk youth to engage to work on the lawns and gardens of public housing estates and community housing properties. The aim of the Project is to assist the disadvantaged job seekers to develop confidence and employability skills so they become competitive in the open labour market.
