Johanna Johnson is straight-up amazing and I couldn't recommend her, and her team, highly enough. After ordering a wedding dress from another supplier that just wasn't right, Johanna came to the rescue. She talked through a number of ideas with me one on one, listened to what I wanted and threw in some awesome suggestions - a truly collaborative approach. She has an intuitive knowledge for what looks amazing on you, regardless of your shape and size. She knows exactly how the fabric will drape and move with the body. I ended up in a customised Hendricks dress that fitted to perfection and was beautifully made. Finding the perfect wedding dress can be an ordeal, but Johanna made the whole experience so easy and stress-free. I felt absolutely gorgeous on the day and can't thank her, or her team, enough.

I was married in November 2015. I had dreamed of a JJ dress for my big day. I picked out my dress and Johanna fitted me personally herself at each appointment. The colours, the fit and style were amazing. Everything was flawless. I couldn't have asked for more. Incredible.

Johanna is a creative genius. My gown is astoundingly beautiful. By far the loveliest thing I've ever worn.

Life changing - I saw the dresses online and liked the cut and colour- I was disheartened by other google reviews - and the media- however once I touched and felt the fabrics and tried on the dresses - I fell in love again. Originally I planned on having a couple of dresses as backup just in case - however took the plunge and was absolutely delighted. Having had 2 kids since, I have reused the material for a christening gown- added bonus!

I had 2 stunning custom gowns designed for my wedding day in February. Johanna dressed my maid of honour and my mum.
I cannot recommend her enough. Her work is stunning. Her designs and vision are impeccable. Her materials and fabrics are exceptional and so luxury. From the first fitting she completely understood the feel that I was going for on the day and made it reality. She went out of her way to make each dress fit perfectly like a glove, and worked so carefully with each of the girls to make sure they love their gowns just as much as I did.
Highly reccomend Johanna Johnson, she is a designer with a real eye for beauty and high fashion.

Terrible Experience! Avoid this designer at all costs! After the dress was purchased, I was told to email them in September to arrange a fitting. I tried emailing/calling everything for 2 months and all my messages were ignored. It was not until I threatened to call an attorney that I finally got a response!

The dress did not come on time, and it was not even close to the sample I had tried on. It was poorly made (the zipper had puckering, which is a simple sewing 101 error), and they had mis-represented the dress (the one I tried on had buttons down the back, but that was an extra add-on they never informed me about). The staff is quite rude, and unhelpful.

My experience was through a family member. She is far too polite and still reeling from the shock of her experience to post here. Her experience was even worse than the other bride's review here. Consistently cancelled fitting appointments with false excuses culminating in a dress that did not fit and was literally thrown together at the eleventh hour. Far from the bridal experience one would expect of an expensive bridal gown. The fabric for the dress still had not arrived one week from the wedding. Why pay for a dress 6 months in advance to still have no fabric or even a mock up months later? The bride was verbally abused by Joanna for questioning a couple of days out from the wedding whether there would even be a dress. Our family discovered too late about similar experiences of friends of friends. Absolutely unprofessional. I have also subsequently heard rumours of financial difficulties. Why close a flagship store to move ones operation entirely to a warehouse set up in Alexandria? Not the expectation one would have of a budding world famous designer? Brides to be do not put yourself through this. There are plenty of better experiences to be had and beautiful dresses out there that will fit and actually live up to their claim. Celebrities may pose in these gowns but it is unlikely that you will share their experience.
