Journier Description
Bringing beauty and style to your space, Journier’s artisan home wares + fashion evoke the dynamic and relaxed Byron Bay coastal lifestyle that inspires us daily. Produced in small batch + bespoke hand crafted runs, Journier is defined by slow style and the joy in the Byron Bay coastal life.
Created by textile artist Anna Swain as a way of sharing the joy in her daily life, Journier is the expression of Anna’s obsession with photographing the ocean on her daily sunrise swim and her love of quality textiles + fibres.
The natural progression was to develop modern tactile textiles, using traditional natural dyes (avocado, indigo, turmeric, iron) and modern eco friendly digital printing. Incorporating hand stitching and weaving to create a diverse product range of cushion covers (scatter + floor), sarong, throws, dresses, table runners + natural beeswax candles, which perfectly complement distinctively Byron Bay coast wall art.
Our oceans and fellow companions are part of our journey and future generations journeys so we ensure our impact from creating what we love is minimised by using environmentally friendly inks, fabrics and production methods in the most efficient way possible.
