Jules By The Lake

Great service and huge portions.

Coffee was not great and week flavoured. Maybe needs a double shot in the cup size served. I will visit again another time to see if it improves or is just a one off.

Great place. Always a great meal, its byo which is good and friendly staff.

Just went to Jules by the lake...ordered a breakfast stack with salmon instead of bacon...on the menu, my meal and my wife's meal were said to have baby spinach...neither did...they charged me $6 for a side of salmon, even though I substituted the bacon and had no spinach...so my $16 meal became a $25 meal...when I asked about it, I got told rudely by the manager that they don't do substitutes...and when we asked about the spinach...they waitress completely ignored the question...horrible service in a great location...don't go there for breakfast...flavourless food, flavourless service.

We came to Jules after a morning exploring WWII Rathmines history. Feeling cold & hungry I was after a meal that would warm me up & fill my belly. I chose the lamb shanks with mash & veggies. I didn't know what to expect from this unassuming cafe. It was delicious! My meal was served piping hot & with a generous serving. The veggies were vibrant and full of flavour. The corn was sweet & juicy, the yummy mash was creamy, the lamb just fell off the bone, broccoli & cauliflower just perfect & the gravy complimented the dish nicely.

By the way, the cafe has clean decorated toilets that smell really nice, soft toilet paper & wonderful hand soap.

I recommend Jules by the Lake to everyone. You have to eat here people!!! I'll be back for sure if I'm in the area.

My husband and I just had the most amazing meal at this beautiful restaurant the best meal we have had in a long time very friendly and relaxing lovely staff thankyou Julie We shall be back
