In 1983, Julie Melrose saw a pressing need for a new dance school in Cherrybrook, starting with jazz, classical ballet and tap. Today the dance school celebrates 33 years offering a wide performing arts curriculum.

At the Julie Melrose School of Dance our syllabus is challenging, stimulating and designed to build the students skills and sustain interest in their chosen style of performance.

The teachers are committed in bringing satisfaction and excitement to today's performance techniques.

The dance school boasts a good sized hall at Cherrybrook Primary School and two smaller halls at the Uniting Church (just across the road) commitment to students is to provide enjoyment of dancing and performance, fitness improvement, confidence and self esteem building, quality in class work and performance techniques.

Our objective is to develop excellence in dance and performance whilst still focusing on enjoyment.
