For the past 15 years I have been practising the art of Hawaiian Bodywork - KAHUNA and Lomi-Lomi Hearworks.

Kahuna Aloha Byron Bay Description

With a strong connection to the Hawaiian Life Philosophy I'm not only focused on bringing wellbeing and healing to your physical body, but also if you allow it, to initiate and assist in your emotional and psychic rebalancing and rejuvenation.

I'm committed to be physically and emotionally fully present to ensure that your massage will be a truly memorable experience.

What is KAHUNA?
Kahuna is a very Ancient yet Ever-New unique, effective & wonderful healing modality where the practitioner uses his /her hands, forearms and elbows to give a massage and nurture the client.

Unique to Hawaiian massage are long & fluid strokes, skilful underbodywork and a constant alternation between deep pressure work with elbows & forearms and nurturing hand massage.

Music is played during the massage. Dynamic breathing and dance movements are the source of energy and rhythm in Kahuna. At times the practitioner dances around the table using hula or tai chi style movements, which help him /her to attune to the natural rhythms of the clients body; to harmonise body, mind and soul; to massage with flow and continuity and sometimes even to enter in a trance-like state.

Kahuna Massage works by stimulating the natural flow of energy within the body in order to bring about changes in the physical, emotional and spiritual areas. Stress and tension is released so that energy can flow freely once more. It is also deeply relaxing and rejuvenating.

The word Kahuna means mastery. "Priest, sorcerer, magician, wizard, minister, expert in any profession. " Wikepedia

Traditionally, Hawaiian massage played a very important role in the daily life of the Hawaiian people and especially in the life of the upper class like Kings and Priests. It was also an integral part of the Rites of Passage.

I invite you to experience this magnificent and unique massage at it's best!

Testimonials. . .

"My name is Paul Margolin and I own and manage Temple Byron, a Spiritual healing centre in Byron Bay. Over the years I have had sessions with various healers and massage therapists but I must say that the sessions with Elfie have stood out far above all others. She is a true professional and has a wide amount of knowledge of the human body, not only on a structural and muscular level but also intuitively and spiritually which makes her work so unique and powerful.

I am also a Flamenco guitarist and have been for over 40 years . I make it a habit these days to regularly have a massage with Elfie before I go on stage to preform as I have found it very helpful in relieving all stiffness and any joint pain I may suffer.

Elfie's Kahuna massages are a very powerful way to re-align the body and put one into a deep place of peace and relaxation. I highly recommend this wonderful experience to everyone. "
