Sashimi is quite good, had a whole boat - it comes with salmon belly which is delicious. The tempura was fried well and gyoza was good. Service can be slightly slow at times but acceptable. Price is fair - you can eat huge amounts and you'd pay just as much to eat that amount anywhere else.

Ive been this place a few time love this place!!!
The staff are kind and I love the buffet so value the money. Last time I had to waiting to get the table for half hour cause this place always busy. Better to book before you are there

I can not recommend this place enough! I come here once a week for a plain avocado roll, it is made fresh and tastes DELICIOUS! The cost is very reasonable and the portion sizes are more than generous and they are not stingy on the fillings.
I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Amazing service. I did the all-you-can-eat buffet and it was great. The chefs were happy to provide recommendations and the quality was better than expected for an all-you-can-eat.

User

Their all you can eat special is probably the best sushi deal you can get in Sydney. You can order directly from the menu, they prepare it fresh, and it's good quality. No wonder it's always packed.

If you are a big eater the $42 all you can eat is super worth it. Service was fast and all the food was quality. Highly recommended!

Affordable, fresh and friendly staff. We had dinner on Saturday night, the restaurant was fully booked and they managed to serve us very quick. All you can eat is a good choice if you want to eat lots of food. Good value for money.

There was some dirt in my bowl and I asked the waiter to give me a new one. He was attempting to scratch the dirt with his finger and I was shocked. He then realise it wasn't appropriate so he relucantly gave me a new bowl.

I've tried all u can eat with ma frs. All the sushi came with warm rice and the queality of food wasn't good at all. Hand-rolls came with heaps of rice and tasted really bad. I didnt like the service from staffs as well. I'd rather go for sushi train than this resto. I will never go to this place again.

We ordered Maki (roll) which was full (not joking) of rice with thinly sliced sashimi. And I dont understand why rice used in sushi/roll is served hot and unseasoned. Rice is supposed to be cool. They want to make u full not by serving good japanese food but to chock on rice. The waiter/tress was not accomodating. Wont be going back to this place ever.

I came here to eat with my mate on his birthday and it was horrible. First off the line up of food and how bad the food was. As a Japanese myself I expected better line up of food on the menu. The sushi line up wasn't bad though. So if you want to eat some sushi this place might not be too bad for you. But the Karage(唐揚げ) was all soggy small and tasted horrible. To be more specific all the deep fried food were horrible. Ok the second part was the customer service and how long they take to get the food ready. I already was kinda getting a bit sick of this restaurant because of the menu but when we call the waitresses they look at us and act like we don't even exist until we call them twice! On top that my mate was sitting down and the waiter couldn't get through. Instead of saying "Excuse me" he slaps him on the back and says "Oi move" I was sitting there like WHAT?! It was ridiculous how some waiters/waitresses treat customers. The time you wait for the food is pretty long as well. It's ridiculously slow. The day I went it was a little bit crowded but I don't if it was crowded enough to wait 15-25min for soba. So here we come to my last problem. No Japanese waiters/waitress. The menu was so bad and didn't have too many stuff on it so I thought they might have some stuff that wasn't on the menu by a very small chance. Being me I wouldn't know how to say the food in English. So I ask the waitress in Japanese and she's like "Sorry no Japanese" I was surprised. So I asked if there was any Japanese working there at the time and she just randomly looks around and tell me no. So would I recommend? No I do not. I will never go there again.

Hi Kansai, You have a huge fan base on Facebook so I thought it would be good to help me get the word out, I'm running a cancer fundraiser to raise as much money as I can in order to help Cancer Council prevent cancer. My mother passed away from cancer so I'm trying my best to help people not go through the pain she went through. I was hoping you can post this li...nk on your page which will direct people to my donations website. Ive always loved coming to Kensai. However, recently I visited for the $32 buffet again and it was really terrible. We wanted to order nigiri and sushi but the waitress recommended us to eat other things like the entree, saying that the sushi will "take a very long time" to come out. Obviously she wanted us to eat other food that we obviously did not want so we would get full faster. We ordered scampi nigiri and there was only half a scampi on top of a large ball of rice. We asked for grilled nigiri but ended getting raw ones. The salmon nigiri tasted strange unlike a year ago - you really can't taste any freshness or sweetness. The scallop nigiri was very small and frankly did not taste anything like scallop. The udon is okay but they made the bowl size smaller. The miso ramen is flavourless. The chicken karaage is almost not edible; it is so dry, chewy and dull looking. The only dish we really enjoyed was the prawn tempura, which can be purchased anywhere else. Final words of advice to Kensai: start improving your food quality or expect sales to drop down. Final words to customers: don't come here, save yourself $32 that can be spent on a nice plate of food at fine dining.
