Food is good, but service is very very disappointing. We booked a table, they told us that the waiting was around 30mins, while we were waiting we saw many people that came after us being sat. Spoke with the "host" and she said she will call our name, when clearly we were first than many. VERY disappointed, don't know if I would go back after time restrictions and them not sticking to a waiting LIST..

A 5 star become a 1 Star, What a let down, they have change the dining time from 90mins to 60mins.
You sit down looking at menu (takes 5-10mins)
Waiting for food (5-10mins)
Cooking food (10-15mins)
And you already ask us for LAST ORDER?
We paid to enjoy your food, not pay you to rush us out.

My favourite yakiniku in Sydney (on par with Rengaya). Rice + special beef ribs + ox tongue + their sauce = all I need.

Tip: Make a reservation - but all of you, or at least most, will need to be there before they will let you all in.

Warning: You will smell, guaranteed, post dinner.

Leave your fancy clothes at home, cause you will smell like heavenly barbecued meats for a week.

Best Japanese BBQ in Sydney. Always go there. Good value. Book beforehand otherwise long wait. Very popular.

I went in for dinner with my elderly mother at 5.30pm so I assumed they weren't busy as there were several tables available and they open 5pm. The male waiter said only outside was available where it was windy and cold. As I was walking out I heard him tell the 3 guys behind me that the wait for a table inside was 20 minutes so I spoke to the male waiter and asked him why he didn't give us an option and he gave them 20 mins wait and we were waiting before them. We would've been happy to wait for 20 mins for a table inside. He said he could offer me a 6.30pm booking for max 1 hour and kept repeating "1 hour only". This was at 5.40pm.

Perhaps 2 small Asian women wouldn't be SPENDING nearly as much as 3 larger young men?

I'd give this place a minus score if there was an option.

Go to the yakitori place next door, they'll atleast treat everyone the same regardless if you spend $5 or $100.

It was my first Yakiniku experience and I was nicely surprised, the food was great although the mixed veggies were a waste of time, you can't cook carrots and pumpkin properly on a tiny BBQ while giving meat the priority! Next time I will know to stick to the yummy meat and perhaps mushrooms. The service was fine, certainly not amazing but they were not rude. The cash only thing wreaks of GST avoidance which irritates me more than the inconvenience of having to get cash.

Good food , poor service mind . Send your staff to a proper training

hands down best Japanese Yakiniku in Sydney. if you want good service or ambience, go somewhere else. I'm here for the Wagyu!!!! and they have the most tender ox tongue. we always just order 6 serving of number 1, 2 serving of ox tongue and a seaweed tofu salad. for 2 :)
