Kate Levett: BEd (Hons I), Adv. Dip. App. Sci. (Aucp), MPH (Merit), Grad. Cert. Jap. Acup. , PhD (C) (UWS).

Kate is an acupuncturist, researcher, childbirth educator and PhD student. She is completing a PhD at the Centre for Complementary Medicine Research (CompleMED) at the University of Western Sydney. Her study is looking at the use of complementary therapies for first time mothers to help them manage their labour and birth.

The CompleTe Birth Study is being conducted at Hornsby and Nepean Hospitals.
Kate graduated as teacher in 1994 (Univ. Sydney), and an acupuncturist in 2004 from the Australian Institute of Applied Sciences in Brisbane, and has been working at the Perinatal Research Unit at the University of Sydney, Northern Clinical School at the Royal North Shore Hospital.

Since 2006, she has completed a Masters degree in Public Health (Univ. Sydney), and is now combining research interests and Chinese Medicine in the maternity context.

Kate has 3 girls, who are 10, 8 and 3 years old. She is working as an acupuncturist, doing mobile visits to your home, and pursuing her studies at the University of Western Sydney, School of Complementary Medicine.
