The centre ensures quality, standards and continual improvement by adhering to the “Education and Care Services National Law, the “Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Quality Standards. Educators plan the curriculum in accordance with the learning outcomes outlined in “The Early Years Learning Framework”
The philosophy of the centre is to offer a safe home-like environment, which supports cultural, individual needs of families, based on open communication and to provide a holistic learning environment which is challenging, stimulating and educationally sound. A place that, is friendly, inviting and welcoming to all. An environment that provides harmonious relationships, and encourages parent involvement. The centre provides a non-discriminatory, anti-bias learning environment which is non-threatening and caters for individual needs of children. Open communication between management, staff, families and children is also fostered.
A major influencing factor on the development of children is their family: both the way they interact with their family, the way they see their family interact with others, and others with them. The centre endeavours to continually promote a collaborative partnership with families and communities. The educators believe that effective relationships between educators and families are fundamental to the quality of education and care that children receive. Kiddies on First recognizes that all families are different and the educators aim to achieve this partnership by establishing and maintaining positive trusting relationships, valuing family backgrounds, experiences and child rearing practices.
To encourage through play, that children learn skills for socializing with others, interacting with their environment, as well as practicing and mastering new skills. By recognizing these benefits of play, educators provide open-ended experiences which allow children to learn and grow at their own pace. Educators will promote children’s development and confidence through the application of open-ended activities that are reflective of observed needs and interests of each child; they will also take into account children’s language and cultural backgrounds. Kiddies on First believes and consistently implements inclusive care and education for all children, and endeavours to work with families and other relevant professionals in order to achieve the best possible outcome. The educators at Kiddies on First follow the Early Years Leaning Framework to extend and enrich children’s learning from 2yrs to 5yrs and through the transition to school. It is the educator’s role to provide all children with opportunities to maximize their potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning.

Educators maintain an inviting, fun, stimulating, educational program with age appropriate at individual levels. Educators provide a warm, nurturing, loving and caring environment. With supportive and empathetic educators to guide children through their learning experiences. To encourage self-help, self-reliance, respect for others and their environment. To provide nutritious meals and foster and enhance good eating and good hygiene practices. Kiddies on First observes strict health and hygiene practices that have regard to current community standards and in accordance with relevant government guidelines to maximize risk to children.
Kiddies on First exists and operates within the cultural context of the local community, as subsequently, the services provided by the centre reflects the dynamics, values and element of the surrounding environment. Kiddies on First is operating a service for the local community and endeavours to work in cooperation with and develop an understanding of its ever changing needs and continues to review and evaluate quality care practices on an ongoing basis. Kiddies on First aims to involve the local community in centre life by extending invitations for attending events and supporting local businesses where ever possible.
Kiddies on First promotes an environment that is the child’s extension from home. Educators work together to develop in each child’s independence and a sense of identity. To develop in each child the knowledge that they are unique and individual and that their abilities, interests and cultural backgrounds are an important contribution to the community.
