Wood Duck Ale. Probably the most delicous beer they had there. Sad to see the place class for renovations. Food is good, can be a bit average but usually on point. Keen for it to reopen.
Great place to go in a big group. They have pretty big front yard with lots of long tables that they can connect up. Each time I have visited, we were a group of 20+, but the place handled it like a champ.
About the beer, they sold what seemed like their own special craft beer, and had taster boards too. Whilst they weren't too bad at all, they weren't something I would return for. Overall it felt pretty bitter to my taste. I would stick to fat yak on tap they've got.
Spacious beer garden overlooking the promenade. Adjacent Sydney Ferry Darling Harbour terminal. Boutique beers and reasonable pub food. The seafood platter for two ($70) is amazing value for money - truly.
Not quite a pub, as it feels a little too food-oriented, but a good place to come for either a bite to eat or a good beer. Food is good: I had a very tasty burger with fresh salady-bits inside, and nothing-to-write-home-about chips. The beer is a good range, including their own brews, including seasonal rotations.
Can be very busy on a Saturday night, but likely to be a lot less busy on Sundays.
Nice beers, average food. If you like beers there are much better places in Sydney, if you want food AND beer still this would not be my first choice. Location is unbeatable for a business lunch
Food is reasonably priced and the beer selection is great.
No table service - you order at the bar.
We ordered buffalo wings entree which were delicious and tasted quite authentic for an Australian attempt, however some of the wings were very small and dried out slightly.
I ordered the Chicken burger and my wife ordered the Brisket burger which both tasted very good however a little dry.
Overall the food is delicious but all seems to be slightly over-cooked. Even the chips tasted like they had potentially been done for 1 minute too long.
Tap beer was great with a good selection and its a great spot on Kings st warf with a nice ambience. Staff were friendly and food came reasonably fast. Overall a good dinner!
I have waited an hour since ordering. Hoping it will be worth the wait.
Edit. Food arrived just after last review. It was good quality and freshly cooked. Our fault for arriving at 1pm in the holidays with two cruise ships in. Have upped my rating.
Always been a great place to visit with lovely views and a top choice of beers but now I find out how great they are with young kids. Top work! The had bags with crayons and activity books for free and then one of the waitresses made some balloon animals and did face painting. What a treat.
