Kinghorn Motors

I recently bought a used Subaru Outback from Kinghorn Motors. I dealt with Rick, who was very helpful, and more than happy for me to take the vehicle for an extended test drive and have it checked by a mechanic.

The vehicle is in excellent condition and a pleasure to drive. I'd certainly recommend Kinghorn to other prospective buyers.

Just want to give a shout out to the legends of Kinghorn Motors- Adam & Rick! We called up in the morning as we had seen a car we liked online. Adam was extremely helpful over the phone as we had a few questions and we would have to travel an hour to the car yard. After a satisfying conversation on the phone with Adam, we headed down for a test drive where Adam helped us even further with our questions in regards to the car we were looking at. From the get go, Adam and Rick were very patient and genuine, keeping our best interests in mind. Within the hour, we had all our questions answered, test drove the car, and finalized the sale. Adam and Rick were not only understanding but went above and beyond to meet our needs and made us very happy customers! We will be recommending Kinghorn Motors, Adam & Rick to everyone we know. To begin with they seemed really friendly.
I emailed about a $13k car I was interested in purchasing that was for sale at the time - I got no response whatsoever. I rang back a fair while later to find out they sold it pending finance approval and someone would get back to me to let me know the result. I have never received a follow-up phone call or email from Kinghorn to let me know anything or to even offer to assist with purchasing another car.

I won't be using Kinghorn again and will source a new car for myself elsewhere.

I took a train ride down from Sydney today to pickup a VW Golf I'd seen on Carsales. I have to say that Rick was really helpful right from the first phone enquiry a few days ago, even picking me up from the station this morning. I went over the car with a fine toothed comb and it was exactly as described by Rick over the phone - Perfect! I challenged one aspect of the documentation and Rick spent a good 20 mins (with the pressure of a potential customer watching over his shoulder) pulling together the details to show it was as advertised. He spent considerable time making sure I was comfortable with the car and the documentation, without being pushy or over the top. Everyone I dealt with at the dealership were extremely helpful and courteous, I can't recommend them highly enough. I drove the car home and it was faultless. I'm extremely happy with the service and the car! They even threw in a nice gift to add the icing to the cake!

Atrocious customer service. Called to check a car was still available and asked could we check it out today as we live an hour from the dealership. Salesman said yes and yes. Drove one hour to the dealership. When we arrived we parked in customer parking and the salesman approached us and told us we couldn't park there as it was private property. He didn't even ask us first if we were customers! We then walked into the dealership and were told the car we are interested in had been sold yesterday! Wasted our entire afternoon because the salesman couldn't be bothered checking the stock. We probably would have checked out what else they had in stock had he not also been downright rude. They've certainly lost our business. We'll be buying our two new cars elsewhere.

Great customer service by Ryan Woodcroft and Ryan service manager. Ladies in service are excellent always fuss over you. Boys in spare parts great service know what they are talking about.
