Der Stadtteil Kings Cross ist als das Rotlichtviertel von Sydney bekannt. Auf der zentralen Darlinghurst Road befinden sich zahlreiche Striptease-Läden sowie Kneipen und kleinere Clubs. Auf den Gehwegen suchen vereinzelt Prostituierte nach Kundschaft. Jedoch ist Kings Cross – entgegen der verbreiteten Meinung in der Bevölkerung Sydneys – kein gefährlicher Ort. Zahllose Touristen und Partygänger bevölkern das Viertel bis spät in die Nacht. Die große Polizeiwache vor Ort sorgt zusätzlich für ein sicheres Ambiente. In den dunkleren Seitenstraßen der Darlinghurst Road befinden sich einige Bordelle.

Great train station, easy to get in and out. The only downside is that its not the cleanest station there is.
Easy to navigate, plenty of information boards of train departures. Clear tannoy system and staff to assist you. Plenty of shops and places to eat to pass time. Also a Little Waitrose for purchasing snacks and drinks for your journey as well as picking up prepared meals and basic ingredients on your way home. Toilets 30p each time but they are well cleaned. Could do with some more general seating for those not wanting to sit in a eatery. Tip..take a plastic bag for your rubbish as there are no rubbish bins in the station grounds for obvious reasons.
Good old Kings Cross! Nuff said...
Sydney trains have really got their act together. Clean, efficient and well serviced by the few kiosks that are near the exits. Don't forget your Opal card!
Edit: To avoid confusion, suggest the next station signage all have 'next station' in larger letters font than the station name.
My local station. Easy to navigate and convenient with some food shops, ATM and newsagent. This station doesn't have bathrooms! If you're looking for a bathroom you won't find one here.
Get off here to find foodie places if you love to eat. At night this area turns into a pub street where people get drunk.
