Kitchen Essence

What an AMAZING experience! In a world full of rubbish builders and average contractors it was SUCH a pleasure to find Jenny and her wonderful team at Kitchen Essence. From the moment we met Jenny, we just knew that she was on the same page as us and that she really got us and "it"!

Our faith in Jenny was rewarded with an absolutely perfect kitchen that turned out even better than we expected and our expectations were HIGH! From George & his brother who installed the cupboards, to Blake & his offsider Sam, who installed the bench top - EVERYONE was pleasant, professional and caring. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was happy to make suggestions and to think about what was best for US... As we have discovered over 10 months of renovations - this is a real rarity nowadays!

I've put up a before and after photo, which I don't really think does the new kitchen justice as you can't see all of it and it doesn't "pop" as much as it does in real life. But you'll get the idea of the magical transformation that Kitchen Essence achieved for us...

My wife and I cannot recommend Jenny and her team highly enough and will be calling her first should we ever re-do our kitchen our buy another property that requires a kitchen or bathroom.

Simply put....KITCHEN ESSENCE ROCK and JENNY IS WONDERFUL!!!

We have the most positive experience recently with staff of Kitchen Essence. The workmanship and attention to details during design and installation were above expectation considering that we were refurbishing our laundry and adjacent toilet (being very confined areas).
And yes, they do not specialize just in kitchens, any custom design appears to be within their capability to be delivered on time and at very competitive prices.
We will use them again in our future projects.

*** Update 5yrs later:
Burst water pipe under kitchen island, Floor boards ruined!
These guys had welded a cold water pipe to hot water pipe and cracked over time. The waste pipe has also been found being crushed by the floor boards...

Had previously wrote an average review that has been pulled somehow so re-reviewing.

We had great service at the beginning, unfortunately they use all contractors for the work and we had some pretty shoddy work done. Plumber was useless and sent apprentice out to do all the work. (Gas hob was LPG and installed as town gas)
We do have a great kitchen after all the problems that we love but the most dissapointing thing was as the end one of the cupboards would not shut properly and jam. The owner came out and said there was noting he can do thats just how it is.
We had our own carpenter come out to fix the floor (another part of the install that was stuffed up by there tradies) and fixed the door in 5min.
This was 2 years ago now so no knee jerk reaction.

In the end we have a great kitchen we love though, just was difficult to get there.

****... (And 5yrs later we have a disaster from shoddy workmanship)

Having worked in the building industry many years ago I was apprehensive about engaging a kitchen company to assist me with my apartment renovations. From the outset I found the staff at Kitchen Essence to be extremely helpful, budget conscious and with a sound understanding of what was going to be needed. From our initial discussions, to the drafting of possible options, and the ongoing adjustments that were suggested, I felt supported and that we were part of a team. The installation team were professional, great communicators and arrived when they said they would. I am delighted with the outcome, which came in on budget and with a ‘look’ and quality of finish that exceeded my expectations. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Kitchen Essence to anyone.

We could not be happier with our kitchen from Kitchen Essence. We approached multiple companies and although others were quite ridged Jenny and Vladimir made the whole process seamless. Their tradesman were courteous, tidy and respectful with nothing ever being an issue. Vladimir’s approach, professionalism and standards are second to none. We had a vision for our kitchen and Kitchen Essence exceeded our expectations with what they delivered.

We had a complete new kitchen installed in Sep/Oct 2015, with the design process started earlier in 2015.
The strength of the Kitchen Essence was the personal approach and relationship, and the design process.
We had a lot of fairly specific ideas, unique designs, and combination of materials that we wanted to work with. At all the points through the design process, Jenny helped us to patiently work through options and ideas, providing samples to take home and consider. Jenny helped us get started on selecting appliances, and once we had a clear idea, helped with putting us in touch with her own contact to make the ordering process also a more personal one.
We had tried quoting with some of the larger kitchen companies, and the process was much more "transactional" and not considering uniqueness we wanted to include.
We had a particularly complex cabinet component, that we had roughed out a design, and Jenny helped us by meeting Jason, the cabinet designer/builder, to go through a detailed discussion on what could be accomplished. Jason took fantastic personal interest in the project and had incredible attention to detail through to the finished product installed.
