Our friends at Barker College are raising funds for Rural Aid at this Saturday's sports fixtures, with a Boarders' Stall, BBQ and raffle.
The 1st XI Football play at 10.15am at Rosewood; the 1st XV Rugby Team play at 3.15pm at the Barker Main Oval.
This is the final round of the winter sport season and a great chance to show our support for our teams and this important cause.

'BUY A BALE' DROUGHT APPEAL // While many of us live in Sydney which has plentiful water and rainfall, 99% of rural NSW is in drought. The situation is dire and rural communities need our support.
Since Knox's earliest days, the school has had a close connection to rural Australia - the majority of our 210 boarders come from rural NSW.
Over the next two weeks we are running a whole of school campaign to support Rural Aid Australia's 'Buy a Bale' Appeal.
... Rural Aid supports rural communities suffering drought, fire and flood. It provides assistance to individuals and communities as a whole.
Our campaign will include fundraising events and initiatives at our three campuses.
Please help us help those in need by giving whatever you can.
You can make a donation now online via our Everyday Hero page. The students will also have an opportunity to give at School in the next few weeks.
Thank you and please give generously!

PARENTING // "When a child is able to face safe risks on their own, it teaches them self-confidence and independence."
Encouraging your kids to climb higher or run faster, challenging them to a running race, or letting them lose a game are all characteristic of a style of parenting that could reduce the risk of childhood anxiety.
Knox and Wahroonga Preparatory School Psychologist Dr Rebecca Lazarus has completed a PhD with Macquarie University to research how encouraging children to take ‘safe risks’ can reduce anxiety.
