Kotara High School Description

Kotara High School is a comprehensive co-educational high school located in the city of Newcastle. We have about 1000 students and approximately 100 staff including teachers and support staff. The school prides itself on teamwork between staff, students, parents and members of the community. Kotara High has a strong SRC and a very active P& C. The P& C meets on the third Monday of the month at 7. 00pm

Catering to years 7 through to 12, KHS has always had a strong compliment of teachers (many who live locally) supported by the community and P&C association. Nearby parks provide plenty of space for sporting events after the school oval was all but eliminated with the school hall.
