A great park located close to the city. We use it to train our clients in their preparation for walking the Camino de Santiago!!

I was lucky enough to have the use of s boat for the weekend. I was able to explore some of this areas secluded beaches. Amazing.

West head look out is awesome. Great views, also had wheel chair access, and can drive till view point. Lot of good walks. It is a real good drive if you want to just spend an evening away from city life of Sydney. Not far from city.

Love the information office where one can buy Oz souvenirs. Plenty of parking. Kids play area and bbq. Very popular on weekends. Boating and fishing. Good picnic grounds.

Excellent spot for a weekend gateway. The park is spread over a large area with the central lake surrounded by hills and forest land. The mud road walk through the forest is very nice - takes about 1 hour 30 mins from the entry gate down to the lake. People take their cars from the road route down to the lake. The banks of the lake have restaurants, cafes, and shaded areas for a family picnic. The lake has privately-owned yachts and boats. Some boats are also available for hire for boating around the lake.

Well worth a look, especially on a clear/sunny day. Maybe check out the New South Wales national parks web site for disability access if required though. There are some toilets at certain intervals throughout the park. Watch out for cyclists sharing the (main) road/s & seasoned bush walkers. We walked from the last proper car park to the West Head lookout, which is magnificent! Also, watch out for Brush Turkey's who may steal your food if you are camping or eating from a picnic here! Most of the walking tracks along the main road are hard to see where to enter from, even with sign posts, & not very safe when you are driving along trying to find 'a decent car park' at the earlier stages of this road; there aren't any! We drove all along the main road & ended up at a car park close to the end of the road pathways & walked a fairly short distance on the constructed pathways through the amazing bush land from there to the main lookout, stopping along the way to look at the Aboriginal site of the Red Hand Rock amongst other things. Lastly, I can kind of understand the reason behind the entry fee (park upkeep/maintenance costs), but does it have to be quite so high!? Why not jut a couple of Australian dollars instead of the greedy $12 we paid on our holiday in Sydney recently?!

Great park. Good view. Great place for a walk. Good for family

Very beautiful place for a day trip, pack your lunch and enjoy the view. There are some nice walks from Mt Ku-ring-gai station, Cowan station and Berowra station if you take the train, or head to West head for an amazing view over Palm Beach if you drive.

Probably the best national park in Sydney
Great facilities
Well kept
Well worth the small entrance fee
A world away from the city so close to the city

Nice spot. If you've got a boat the ramp is easy to use and the parking is ideal for your trailor. The water is salt so you'll need to give your boat a good wash after.

User

Must do stop at Driftwood cafe at Akuna bay. Awesome spot to relax and great food. Will be a regular stop for our family after a drive though the national park.

What a beautiful part of Sydney with waterways aplenty. If you have a boat (or a friend with one!) it's a great place to spend the day.

User

One of my most favourite places in the world. I love coming here to experience total tranquility (most of the time). I love the park and the water way. All good. Great for an evening to sit by the lapping water and watch the stars.

User

Beautiful place. BBQ facilities are included in your entry fee. Great place for families. They have a gated child play area too! Good for fishing or hiring a boat for a couple of hours. We love it here!

User

Board walk easy for anyone to do. Going there in low tide is better to see lots of little crabs etc. Ancient Aboriginal axe grinding groves can be seen in ten min walk past the end of board walk.
Plenty of playing fields for little children. Cafe is good. Challenging hill walks behind cafe for the more serious daily walkers.
