Our 4/5 year old children are coming ahead with their language lessons, they are now learning complete sentences. We are so proud of what they are achieving and they are so excited with their own progression.

A very special day for our 3 year old group, they began their language lessons with Aunty Fiona and AJ today.
They were all very excited to have a turn at the picture cards and we canŌĆÖt wait to see how much they learn over the coming weeks.

Hip hip hooray.... It's BBQ day today we hope to see you all here for a celebration of our children.

Come along and signup for the Naru surf gathering at Kulai Preschool 14 Myuna Place Coffs Harbour 5.30 pm this Friday 6th of July.
It is set to be a fantastic night with performances by local dancers and a feed featuring bush tucker all set in our unique Aboriginal early childhood learning environment.

Transient Art
Our children have been exploring transient art. Transient art is a non-permanent process.
When children work on transient art projects they manipulate, explore and experiment as they work individually or collaboratively on either large or small scale artworks.
... Loose parts are the key ingredient to making transient art, these are presented in a visually appealing and inviting way so to engage the child.
The use of small parts invites opportunity for sorting, pattern making, exploring shapes, discovering textures and learning about symmetry.
Our children have also been exploring the use technologies by using the iPad to take photos of their artworks and then add their names to their pictures using different fonts and then sending the completed picture to the printer. Our children are confident and involved learners who are engaging in learning experiences with new materials and media.

Sunday the 3rd of June is the date for our next Kulai run.
7am for the 10km... 7.30am for the 5km 8 am for the 3 km 1 km walkers will also go at 8am.

This week the children built a greenhouse to grow plants in, this was a great way for the children to work together as a team and learning to follow step by step instructions.
This activity highlights the childrenŌĆÖs involvement in their own learning practices as well as showing interest in their environment.
We are all very excited to see what we can grow.
