Kum Ba Yah Campsite
Reviews
nice place but no public camping
Superb camping ground, kitchen a little small but very well appointed. Spaced out with dorms quite separated from largest hall and camping ground along with several toilet blocks. Beautiful surroundings that lends itself for kids. Needs ceiling fans in the hall for summer conditions as there is zero airflow through the building. Multiple fireplaces indoor and outdoor as well as firewood make it ideal for cooler weather. Highly recommend for groups of 25 or more. We certainly plan to be back.
I wish I could say I went there, but no one answered the phone, and no one replied my emails. Useless.
The campsite was awesome and the staff were super friendly! We had a big group, just under 50, and it was much easier than I thought to coordinate. If you don't want to completely get away from it all it's ideal as it's got bathrooms, electricity and a hall with a kitchen and fridges. It's also a short drive away to the beautiful lookout and beaches. Highly recommend! Lots of walking and mountain biking tracks nearby too
Nice open spaces, quiet and tranquil, good facilities. Good place to host small or large events, or to camp.
My wife and I got married at the bush chapel here back in 2012 and it was beautiful.
The camp operators even built stairs and did some maintenance to the path and chapel just prior to our wedding.
The whole site was just beautiful.
