We are a family friendly traditional style of Karate with its origins based in Japan. We believe in keeping our style original the way our master and founder Ueshima Sanosuke intended it to be. We don't just teach Karate we also teach the history of karate as well. Karate can be enjoyed by everyone ( Children and Adults ) as a sport, physical fitness, exercise, self defense, meditation and relaxation or for overall health and wellbeing.
Our style incorporates the teaching of Karate as well as Jujitsu. These two combined are fundamental to our style. We also believe that it is important that students should know the history of Karate , where it originated from and why. All these put together gives the students greater knowledge and understanding of karate as a martial art.
Karate does not end there. It continues throughout life as the knowledge learnt can be put into everyday activities.
Our style helps to build self confidence, patience and the ability to achieve and excel at whatever goals a person has set for themselves.
Kushin-Ryu is the name of our style Karate and we are recognized around the world.
