Year 2 have had a fabulous day visiting Alison Homestead.

Year 6 enjoyed their last stop of the trip at AIS and hit the road for home just before lunch. They are tired but can't wait to get back and share their adventures. We've had an update that the bus is running a little late and is not expected back at school until between 5:00 - 5:30pm.

HELLO from Parliament House. It's been a brilliant day exploring the National Museum and visiting Parliament House. Our children have represented Lakes Grammar with pride and enjoyed having Mr Wallace visit today.

Yesterday Year 6 finished the day at the top of Mount Ainslie enjoying a magnificent view before heading to Questacon for a fun filled night to finish off day one. The War Memorial visit today was inspiring for our kids hearing about those who gave their lives to serve our country. And as you can see Canberra is serving up better weather than here!

Our Year 6 Canberra trip is off to a great start with morning tea at Pheasants Nest. Everyone is happy and excited about the adventures to come. Stay tuned over the next few days for more happy snaps.

Yesterday we welcomed Bishop Peter Stuart (the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese) to Lakes Grammar. It is always wonderful to have his presence within our school community. The day started with a student led Q&A session during Chapel which was very insightful, during which Bishop Peter's advice to students of 'be kind' was an extremely powerful message. Next some visits to classrooms got some more deep and meaningful questions from the little people in our school which certainly brought about a chuckle.

A fabulous day at our Junior School Athletics Carnival. We couldn't have asked for better weather and a day filled with team spirit and effort. A huge congratulations to all of our Age Champions. For a 5th year in a row Lightfoot have claimed the title. Well done to everyone who made today a great day!

Our School Captains Savannah Jolly and Cooper Hills along with Mr Hannah were hosted at Parliament House last week by Member for Wyong, Mr David Harris. David took them on a tour of Parliament House and invited them to the public gallery to watch the “theatre” of Question Time. Savannah and Cooper learned a lot and had their eyes opened to the workings of our State Parliament.

Wow. What a day for some of our Year 6 students. They are competing at the State da Vinci Decathlon competition at Knox Grammar School. The day started with a Marching Band and Bag Pipers ushering the kids in! What an exciting day for our kids!
