My love for the Land Rover goes back a long way. My first big trip I took was when i still lived in the UK, i was 24 and decided to buy a big bright yellow series 2, deck it out for living in and travelled over to France and through Spain. My admiration for this vehicle took on new meaning when i lost 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear, due to a broken lay shaft, only hours of getting into Portugal! A new adventure unfolded and i was hooked. Believe it or not i still managed to drive back to the uk, in 4th gear using high and low range all in a 1964 series 2 long wheel base Landy! !
Since living in Australia i have been fortunate enough to find myself some great old vehicles like my daily drive which is a series 2a short wheel base, Ex Army and my most recent restoration project a 1953 series 1 80". . . . . . . hence why collecting old Land Rovers and helping others with what they need for their restoration has now turned from a simple hobby to a more enjoyable working business.
