I went to the park today to test run my electric remote control boat. I was told to stop because the park was busy with visitors. Also the park ranger told me to go further down the stream to test my boat without disturbing the visitors around the park when in fact I am also a visitors.I pay to enjoy my time in the park. I do understand the rules. I have been coming to the park for almost 2 years. The ranger told me to go further down stream to test my boat without giving considerations about my safety. It seems the ranger more concern about his work and other people rather than my safety. He also saying that my electric boat is noisy. The noise came from the kids in the park, screaming, running, yelling, vehicle from the road nearby, plane flying over and etc are more noisy than my electric boat. What a looser.
It's so beautiful tramping track there. We been enjoying it. And than you can tramping up and down more extend to "The Great North Walk". Full of amazing place!!
Beautiful place for boating and bush-walk. It was great to see the ducks following us when we were boating. Very serene. Good for nature lovers.
What a disappointment. This park was great in the 70s. Now nothing is on offer. And its in the heart of the lower north shore... really needs some work
My favorite national park in Sydney. Large closed area all over. Nice river with the opportunity to hire small boats. Fishing allowed from the boats. $8 all parking
For such a central location, I'm always impressed at how remote areas of this national park feel. Excellent for walks, picnics and hiring boats.
i love it here. so peaceful and quiet. only thing that need improvement are the visitors ... fast driving and leaving rubbish behind.
Good spot for a picnic with plenty of places to set up. Ideal spot for people who want to go for a run or a bike ride. Facilities for kayak and canoes are also available
I went to fairy land track at The lane cove national park. It was absolutely amazing. The pictures I took don't come close to show the real beauty of the park. The walk isn't too long either. Probably only took 10 minutes from one end to the other. This would be great to have a picnic by the river too.
Beautiful little National Park right in the heart of Sydney. I recommend hiring the canoes and paddling upstream.
I ride through this park a couple of times a week to commute to and from work. Nice quiet road which often gets cleaned.
Some days get to see some wildlife like kookaburras, owls, bush turkeys, lizards and once even a wallabie was skipping in front of my bicycle.
Park has great BBQ areas which can be reserved for groups.
Great place to go for a walk if you park just after the ticket booth and start from there. Be careful of ticks if you're going to touch and take a closer look at the trees.
Enjoyed a good walk along one side of its banks. Beautiful scenery and views. Felt immersed in nature even though we were so close to roads and highways.
Lovely....spotted at least 3 different type of ducks and other birds!
