Les Femmes Fatales

We are a street-theatre band with a penchant for wandering through crowds in dramatic costume. Our aim is to promote women's participation in music.

The Femme Fatales are an all female band inspired to play at the HONK! Oz festival in 2017. I (Mel Wishart) realised that there was a need to create a playful environment for women to learn- (or bring instruments out from under the beds where they have been for eternity! ) - instruments by being supported with more professional players, and the HONK! festivals have inspired me to get more music happening at a community level with a message to deliver. Its been such a hit I have been inundated with women wanting to join. Young and old we are one.
